Yes that is for real. I think its a clever way to translate books and should not be abused by people who know about it. Also, unknown words are translated through captcha several times and its only finalized as text when a certain number of inputs are identical. 1 person putting “nigger” as the text will not result in that being the final translation.

I don’t believe this is the case. At least not anymore. My dad goes through cars about once every 6 months and always buys new so we are rather hip to the tactics they use. My grandfather was also a very successful car salesman. Selling cars is getting to the point where the guy that takes you for the test drive and shows you all the features doesn’t even want to talk to you about money.
Then once you decide what car you want, you go talk to the person in the finance department, and they god cop/bad cop you. The car “salesman” will act like he is on your side and tell you that he wishes the finance manager would let it go on your terms, while the finance manager will for the most part be an asshole and try to fuck you. This works because most people want that car really fucking bad, and in the long run, that extra $1500 that raises your payment $4.17/month doesn’t bother you so much and most people cave.
