My story is this:
I would go to my gym in the morning and they kept playing this album of rock music…lyrics about the fire and the pain and lots of other cheesy stuff and the guy’s voice was grating.
After a couple of weeks I decided to remember a fragment of the lyrics so I could find out who it was I was hating so much…it was Nickelback.

Consider yourself lucky to not have been aurally polluted by their sound.
They write contrived, and often juvenile lyrics (especially for such old guys), they plagiarize their own songs using similar keys, progressions and arrangements, and rely on overproduction to hide their mediocre playing abilities.

I bet they’d be a serviceable rock band had Mutt Lange not laid his glittery sparkly shiny influence upon them.
See, we probably all remember Def Lepards’ “Hysteria” from back in the day, how we were all in 4-9th grade and rocked our balls off, but that was well over 20 years ago. The dude hasn’t changed.
But instead, you get to hear music that is not only overproduced, but completely devoid of any real soul or badassery. Lets remember too, that Mutt Langes’ last project he worked on before Nickelback was Shania Twain.

Oh, and their lead man is ugly.
LOL

I realized that it’s an equally applicable summation of this band. Haha.
I like this one, though.
I’m going to take your word for it and not even indulge my curiosity concerning Nickelback

Here in Canada the CRTC forces radio stations to play a certain percentage of Canadian acts. This means that when they were at their peak you couldn’t go twenty minutes without hearing them. Canada has some great bands but you learn to loath them because of the repetition.
Can’t speak for the rest of the web but that’s how it is for us here.
Whenever I would see a pic of the lead singer with his ridiculous perm it reminds me of a cocker spanial, my apologies to all spanial owners.

Sounds like you like them as much as your good buddy Phil Collins. Wouldn’t they make a wonderfull duet lol!
Two Nickelback songs at the same time?! What fresh hell is this?
Notice how it only sounds like one song tho?
I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to. My hearing is damaged from the toothpicks I jammed into my ears at the onset of that abomination.
I dont blame you, it’s as bad as you can imagine.
