After watching the video, the cat gets the axe, although I’d have personally stopped the “playing” earlier. The kid was certainly not enjoying it.
Although I admit that I’m biased because I don’t like pet animals, especially when close to children.

I was hoping they’d put the candy in their mouth and then an off camera marine would start firing his gun into the air in time with the candy poppin’
