But my dad’s a bit different. he’s one of those older guys (he’s 80 later this year) that knows how to surf the internet at least and last time I was back home (I live in Asia) he had to show me how to use the HDTV and DVR. I actually said “No, don’t even bother I’ll never understand it,” and realized we’d switched places! I was now saying old-man stuff.

I can empathize. I work in a somewhat technical field right now but damned if I could explain what I do to anyone beyond generalities. I just memorize where the cursor goes.
I still get it too when I see the links one of my friends posts on facebook. He’s a tech geek so I see a lot of links to shit like “New QR code lets you log in your password without keyboard for more safety when using public systems” and “Google Wave lets you synch your music online with your mobile device automatically without (some fucking stuff I don’t even know how to spell properly)” and other gay shit like that.
demotivational cause his “gains” are through the roof…lol
