Seems entirely feasible, it is done all the time by keeping people on life support. You really only die one of two ways, the heart or brain stops working. If you can take a healthy brain and supply it oxygenated blood it should keep working. The responses they were showing were all reflexive, requiring only the most primitive part of the brain to be intact.
At this point you would be removed from life support, being declared brain dead. I’m simplifying, there are extensive criteria in determining brain death, but in general you can keep functioning on a primitive (reptilian)level if your brain stem is intact.
I googled and it seems like it’s real.
No worries…by now the dog would be dead or ruling us all from its throne on the moon by now anyway.

That was pretty lame though.
The idea that “Let there be light!” is equivalent to the Big Bang is tenuous. If he really believed that when he said it amongst them may mean he was too much of an iconoclast.

i·con·o·clast [ahy-kon-uh-klast]
1.a person who attacks cherished beliefs, traditional institutions, etc., as being based on error or superstition.
2.a breaker or destroyer of images, especially those set up for religious veneration. [/quote]
Just in case others were wondering, like me.
Yeah…I think he was being disagreeable and used the word a bit of a pejorative way because he was with like-minded people.

So if you chop off my head and hook it up to a blood-pumpy-thingy before my PFC dies off, I’m still good to go?
Think the phantom pains would be bad?

Both awsome movies, but I think Million Dollar Baby is even better.
