I think a failure like that gets your whole family killed by the Chinese government.
Hell, even the guy one lane to his left probably had one family member killed for merely being victim to this guy’s final fuck-up.

totally. i wouldn’t worry about it.
Okay, something that has always bothered me. How did they move the death star out of orbit to go blow up Leigha’s planet?
or did her planet just happen to be that close?
i guess it just flew over there.
“The Death Star’s real-space propulsion system is made up of a network of ion engines that use converters to transform reactor power into thrust. The engine thrusters are primarily lined along the equator of the station. Hyperspace travel is made possible with linked banks of hyperdrive field generators. Each bank contains 123 hyperdrive field generators. They are all tied together into one navigational matrix that is controlled from the overbridge.”
the interwebz told me that.
Did they just omit that from the movies?
i guess they just assumed we would know that. i suppose it doesn’t make it’s super laser very useful if it can’t move around.
But it’s only protected by a shield in that specific orbit around that specific plant. I woulda waited till they moved it then blew it up.
No you misunderstand. The Death Star II was being constructed within Endors orbit and had the deflector shield because its own Hypermatter annihilation reactor core was not sufficiently completed to power the stations ray and particle shielding and power the Composite Beam turbolaser.
The shielding from the Endor deflector shield projector allowed the Death Star II to remain in a battle ready state at all times with turbolaser battiers and ion cannon banks at maximal operational capacity.
When Solo and the strike team blew up the deflector shield generator, the station had ZERO forms of shielding. This is what allowed Calrissian and Antilles to fly inside the superstructure and torpedo the hypermatter core generator
Had they waited until it moved, the Alliance would have been dealing with a completer Death Star II with no weaknesses and fully operational shields and armaments. They had to strike before its construction was complete
