Well he did compete in powerlifting in Poland, I don’t know if he ever actually totaled elite at a meet actually, cant find any records. Cept some stuff when he was young…
Mariusz Pudzianowski has been involved in strength sports since the December of 1990. At the young age of 16, he entered his first national bench press competition and managed to press 160kg (353lb). Two years later, Mariusz joined the four-wheel club with a 205kg (452lb) lift. His domination of the Polish Championships in the four years that he entered would be the beginning of a pattern of victories that would lead him to become the Word’s Strongest Man in 2002.

Wierd, in an interview a while back he claimed he was different than most other strongman competitors because heâ??d always been in strongman, not powerlifting or bodybuilding or anything else.
Maybe he meant currently or something.

That story’s about as true as a Penthouse letter.

Well considering you can’t just surprise the court with this “new evidence.” More likely the plaintiffs lawyers would be allowed to review the evidence first, and then they would more likely drop their case.
Although at that point, the girl could actually get in trouble for making a false police report.
(Back to your regularly scheduled humor.)

He was obviously being sarcastic. It was humorus. I can’t believe anyone thought his post was serious.
If I claim to be a yellow submarine, do I need to preface that as sarcasm too?[/quote]
Thank you, DoubleDuce for having an intellectual capacity greater than that of an angry terrier (or pasty, fat guy in a wifebeater in this case.)
And, Eric, I see your point. This is exactly the reasoning I used to determine that Newsweek supports al-Qaida. See, they quoted Zarqawi without a disclaimer…
Apologies to all for the thread jack. I thought it was funny, but, then again, I understand subtlety.
Here’s a photo of Akira Lane to placate the masses…

Fucking Christ, finally someone gets it.

It’s cool to be an internet tough guy, huh? Can’t get hurt behind that computer screen…
And lol at you resorting to personal attacks. When you have no leg to stand on, attack the other guy personally (and a poor attack at that)

Certainly he was never a professional power lifter.
Ive done a few local meets, that doesn’t make me a powerlifter, that makes me a guy who lifts heavy and likes to enter local powerlifting meets.

The fact that you immediately thought of it as a parody makes me think you’re a bit of a sheltered person. There are plenty of people out there that actually think exactly what he typed, I’ve seen it firsthand. How do I know he’s not one of them? He’s some guy on the internet.
This is an internet forum where people speak as themselves. And the intelligent ones even know how to put quotes in those nice gray boxes so everyone knows its a quote…

You fail at logic. If they had printed an entire article that consisted solely of a quote from him, and failed to properly frame it as a quote from someone not on the staff (in your case, properly framing it as a quote would have been putting it in a gray “quote” box), then we would start to wonder. This would be equal to what you did.
Is it just me or does anyone else find it hilarious that for these people to argue they must contribute to the thread before their posts. I find the combination of pics and arguments quite entertaining.

Sorry didn’t post first time.

No drowing

Sorry if any were repeats

If you are a troll, I congratulate you, because I actually want to put your head through a wall at this moment. I am going to assume that you are simply uneducated. There are many ways to indicate a quotation. The grammatical device that I utilized in quoting Alffi is incredibly common in academic papers. The “formula” is as follows; “X stated,” followed by an ellipsis, and, then, X’s statement. This is exactly what I did. For your further edification, here is another example…
The pasty, fat guy in the wifebeater said…
Incredible Blob no understand. Incredible Blob angry! When no understand, assume worst! Incredible Blob self-esteem problems! No like Blob in Middle School! Incredible Blob say World bad! Incredible Blob no think! Incredible Blob smash! Delete account now!
Uhm, little gray boxes? Like the ones that Mark Twain used? Or, the little gray boxes that are used in scholarly journals?
