I should have done it that way - I DID think about it! Wasn’t sure if anyone would get it.
I posted it on facebook and a buddy asked me if I thought anyone would get it. I said “I don’t know” and he said “Yeah…it’s sort of old”
So I said “Fucking dummy! After I say that you’re supposed to say ‘Third base!’”

You know, back when I was a kid, if you were taking pictures of girls in swimsuits and got caught, you kind of expected than you were going to get a beating. Either by the girls, their boyfriends, or your parents for being a little pervert.
So, I really don’t fault this woman for what she did and I think she probably saved the kid from a more severe beating down the road by teaching him that he needs to be more discreet. A helicopter with a camera is not discreet.

Totally agree.

The “preventative ass-whupping” is a lost artform. Nowadays, if you even speak harshly to someone you risk them going all “victim” on you, etc…

Hope she has fun in jail. You don’t commit battery. Unless he was flying up to breasts or under skirts, don’t wear something to the beach you don’t want your picture taken in.

I completely agree with DoubleDuce, and am frankly surprised at the rest of you. First of all, we don’t even know if her assumption is correct, and given her description of his “helicopter-plane,” I don’t think she’s the sharpest knife in the drawer.
But yeah, public space, no expectation of privacy. Unless you want every news organization in the country to have to get a release from every passerby who walks behind the camera, or to be prohibited from filming your lifts in the gym, because someone might not want to get on youtube … the repercussions would be myriad. As far as I know, the only exceptions made are pictures of kids at a playground.

Agreed. This story lacks enough context to make a full assessment, but you need more evidence than just the fact that he was flying a drone with a camera. There are lots of innocent reasons to be doing that.
I looked for his youtube channel but couldn’t find. Read somewhere that along with this video the kid just has dozens of videos of beach and surf scenes.
