Calorie information on my preferred bar …
The information can’t be compared directly to all of the other bars, due to the serving size. In carbs alone however, the Lily’s bar has more than 2 times the amount as the Sam’s bar.
Sam’s has higher calories than Lily’s, and higher sugar since no sugar alcohol is used.
And as I wrote before, it is a smooth taste (NOT waxy!). It doesn’t taste dry or flaky like Lily’s.
On a side note, it is fun to watch kid’s eyes light up when they see the chocolate bar on the counter; compared to the disgust their faces show once they taste the bitterness of dark chocolate!
If you are still following this thread, you are either a dedicated dark chocolate lover; or you are extremely bored.

I decided to try this bar because it reminded me of “Andes” mints, and who doesn’t like Andes mints? On the other hand, who wants more than one of the small Andes Mints? I don’t - it is nothing more than an “after dinner” palate cleansing chocolate rather than a chocolate to enjoy on its own.
This chocolate bar is 90% cocoa, which is what caught my attention at Kroger, as well as the sugar content is reasonable.
The bar itself is slightly dry; “crisp” as the wrapper calls it. You lose the taste of the bitter chocolate because of the mint. So if you are searching for a 90+% dark chocolate snack, but do not want the normal bitterness, then this might be the bar to try.
I have eaten slightly more than a third, and I am not sure I will continue. This might be one bar I dispose of. The mint is too strong for me (I want the chocolate taste much more than mint).
According to the internet, there is a 90% cocoa chocolate bar made by the same company without the mint. I haven’t seen that particular bar in the store otherwise I would try it.
I also found this bar to be more expensive than others at $4.00.
Cacoa nibs were touted to me as “the next superfood”, so I bought a bag from the local health food store. After a few servings and lots of time on the toilet, I came to the conclusion that they simply travel right through you, with no absorption whatsoever. Plus, they’re about as enjoyable as gnawing on a piece of particle board.
