I was just talking about this movie with my girlfriend, on the way into work. It’s classic gold!
She was like: ‘what’s that song they play while they’re smashing up the photocopier?’
I have a copy of the movie that I pass on to colleagues at work, in the same way that I felt the need to share porn with my classmates as a kid.
I know this sounds lame, but it inspired us to ditch our desk jobs and aim for something better. I’m sure it has a similar effect on others, too.
Also, the line ‘PC load letter, what the fuck does that mean?!’ makes me almost piss with laughter every time I see it
One of my favorites, mainly because I live it every day at work.
“If we get caught, we’re not going to white-collar resort prison. No, no, no. We’re going to federal POUND ME IN THE ASS prison.” - one of the funniest lines ever.
Or …
Peter Gibbons: What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Lawrence: I’ll tell you what I’d do, man, two chicks at the same time, man.
Peter Gibbons: That’s it? If you had a million dollars, you’d do two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I had a million dollars I could hook that up, cause chicks dig a dude with money.
Peter Gibbons: Well, not all chicks.
Lawrence: Well the kind of chicks that’d double up on a dude like me do.
“Oh, and next Friday… is Hawaiian shirt day… so, you know, if you want to you can go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.”
This one is funny in a disturbing way because a bunch of people where I work do this every Friday. I’m not sure why, but it really bothers me - it’s like they think they’re being cool when they’re more like sheep. I just shake my head and laugh to myself every time I see it.
Shit. I’m a free man and I haven’t had a conjugal visit in six months.
Well-well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don’t have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can’t you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?

Maybe it’s an American thing?
I’ve never seen Super Troopers, but I will be checkin that one out this weekend.
“Yeah, um, I’m going to need you to come in Saturday. Around 9, 9:30. Great.”
I just started working an “office job” recently, and the guy in the cubicle-thingy in front of me is heavy into this movie. Another guy in the office unconsciously walks around carrying his coffee mug all day long. We’ve taken to calling him “The Lumberg”.
“I…I…I’m still going to set the building on fire.”
I always think of the old Beavis & Butthead show’s when I hear that line. Mike Judge is classic stuff.
My last job was Office Space to a “T”. I felt like Peter every day - “Everyday that you see me is the worst day of my life.”
Only, I was on the other end of things because I was laid off, rather than being promoted!
That movie is one of the best ever, and I can say that it was a mirror image of my last job so much that I could have written, directed and starred in the movie!

I think that’s why people love it so much…it hits home. At some point, we’ve all had at least one crappy job and know what it’s like to be fucked with constantly by some jackoff boss.
I never understood why this movie wasn’t a smash hit. Although, I do have one friend who thinks the movie is “ok”…he’s never worked a real job in his life.
I have to agree to that it’s a friggen awesome movie. Is it just me or does watching the movie make you feel like liberating yourself from things you don’t like or bother you? (things you have to do) lol. On to Napolean Dynamite. I thought some lines were funny, and when napolean slaps kip lol. Other than that I felt liek napolean the whole movie…miserable, and can’t do very much. It’s kinda boring, some funny lines though for sure, but not many.
Hell no! I’m British, and fucking love Office Space. You guys should watch the britsh show “The Office”, the real one, not the american version - you’ll love it.
Intelligent people will always understand good quality comedy.
“But i was told that i could listen if i kept the radio at a reasonable volume…” - I know people like Milton, that is what is so scarily accurate about this film.
