Damn Cops

are helmets required by law for bicycle riders there?
or were they just giving the option of a free helmet?
No they’re not required. They are however getting ‘trendy’ as opposed to a few years back.

Basically they’re giving away free helmets.

Remember we have public health care here so it ‘might’ be a good investment. I don’t know the numbers, but I’m sure a helmet is cheaper than treatment for a concussion.

I thought it was a good approach. It’s nice to see cops be able to act in pure human kindness. It also shows that people react to a kind gesture with kindness themselves.

Actually, NOPE!!

Public service is mom and dad raising their kids, volunteer workers feeding the poor, the every-worker getting up and producing goods and service for the public – in other words public servants are actually people that deliver needed services – and not people who suck wealth from the “public” trough.

Free helmets? Yeah, right!

SOCIALISTS like YOU communicate in the third-person, because you hate the rights of the Individual!
Lol! Can someone please ensure that this comrad is authorized to have a computer and has submitted the proper documentation to be on this thread.

That will be all.

Karl.

…i can understand that you’d have small children wear a helmet, but i’d never wear a helmet riding my bike through the city, not even if one was given to me by a friendly copper. That’s just… unnatural!

This wondrous public service we see in the video isn’t happening in the US, which explains alot.

You’re not a SOCIALIST are you!?!?!?!?!

HUH!!?!?

SOCIALIST!!!

^ And this is why it would never happen in the States.
No I am not a Socialist. But I think that the view on what is truly criminal is different between Americans and Europeans. America locks up more people than any other country in the world, and by a large margin. Also the level and amount of criminal activity is by and large much less in Europe than here in America too.

Yes those Socialist bastards, they have less crime along with a more intelligent method of handling crime. Off with their heads.

Wow what was that? The “Hugs and Helmets” campaign? Cool nonetheless.

Yeah, that’s basically what I was saying. Knee-jerk anti-socialism robs Americans of a lot of the benefits of modern social-engineering technology.
