He then proceeded to attempt to belittle this by claiming that I needed steroids to achieve what was still such a paltry weight.

Careful you don’t piss him off too much, though, he’s been known to go digging into other posters personal lives and/or lying about them as retribution for daring to defy him.

The other part of my infamous post I still hold to. I think that there will have to be a lot of community support (and even intervention) to improve the education system. That is going to take the form of the community in question. A large religious support base is probably going to find it far more convenient to provide this support through area churches etc. That they will want to influence curriculum is expected. That the ACLU will try to stop them is also expected.

I don’t personally agree with teaching theological viewpoints in secular academia outside of philosophy or sociology, but I also don’t believe kids will be detrimentally affected any more than coming home from a school that teaches evolution to be told by their parents that it’s all Satanic garbage. That’s how it was for me, and I took my parents word for it for years, even though I answered on my tests ‘correctly’.

Well this thread has been an entertaining read. It’s almost like a soap opera. A thread on chloroform eh? I’ll have to look that up. I wouldn’t advise intentionally inhaling it mind, unless suddenly dropping dead isn’t a problem for you. If you MUST engage in solvent abuse intentionally inhale diethyl ether instead.
