I recently recovered from Pneumonia, then just as I was getting back into the flow of things, when I strained a ligament in my mid to lower spine in a game of lacrosse, when I was hit from behind. I am 19, and I’ve never really had to deal with back pain. I’ve been on vicodin and muscle relaxers to deal with the pain, and I’ve been lying on my side most of the day. The doctor does not want me even wearing a backpack for 10 days or so.
I know I need a lot of rest, and sleep, but does anyone have any specific advice with coming back from an injury like this? Any ideas to help minimize loses, and get back to the gym without causing further damage? Any help would be nice. All these setbacks can make you go crazy. Thank you.
