Today’s curfew imposed by Mr dictator Daniel Autocratic himself was literally just a punishment because people were DARING to breach his autocratic guidelines. There isn’t a shred of epidemiological evidence suggestive it works, ditto with closing down playgrounds for children to play on, which they could only do for 1-2 hours per day max… Without friends… I’ve heard a few high profile lawyers are looking at taking this to the courts. But the courts are biased, the outcome associated will be far removed from democratic due process.
Over like six cases in the community today?
Hell… A bill has now been tabled with the aim of effectively removing minor parties (like the liberal democrats… Perhaps one of the only parties in Aus that values upholding human rights) from being able to take part in state and federal elections. A spineless, undemocratic move aimed at removing any alternate competition entirely.
That many didn’t know it worries me even more.
You don’t know how complicit and obedient Australians are… Many over here, particularly the youth demographic support authoritarianism (particularly socialism/Marxism)

This is true btw… FOI request over this have been continually denued. Unfortunately as this article is within “the Australian” it’ll get buried. I hope a member within the Andrews government is found guilty on corruption charges within the near future. The Andrews government has carefully set up a ring of immunity around itself over the past four to six years… Why?
Parliament serves as Andrews bitch, consisting of primarily ALP members within his tight knit group. Courts generally coincide with government regulatory standards nowdays, as I previously mentioned the purported lawsuit being prepared over the curfew, closing playgrounds etc will be dismissed almost instantaneously. The past three challenges on our international travel ban have been dismissed despite Australians theoretically having a constitutional right to leave/enter their country.
You can’t protest here, “that’s illegal”. Finally the oppression, the liberal premier for Victoria is about as exciting as a stale cup of pudding.

I dislike most premier’s, particularly Gladys Berijiklian, Mark McGowan and Daniel Andrews… But good LORD do I loathe Daniel Andrews. I seriously believe he might be some sort of communist sympathiser given his track record/relations with China that have been panned around the board by other premier’s.

He tripped so hard on power that he fucked up his back a few months ago. He’s imposing restrictions that epidemiologists and medical experts over here alike have stated do nothing to mitigate spread. I’ve been looking him up, viewing his content. The guy is no Saint, and there is no doubt about it; he is “far right” albeit not within an authoritarian context and I happen to mostly agree with what he has to say regarding the government over reach here…

He’s incorrect about a few things though
1: it appears you can catch covid again. Immunity doesn’t last forever
2: lockdowns have caused perhaps a few thousand preventable deaths. The toll from letting it rip now would be 10K+, but I’d argue those dying from preventable deaths are far younger than the median age of covid death (86) over here.
When you reach between 60-70 16+ vaccinated%… That’s when you’re actually causing more deaths (according to Doherty modelling)

The For the People Act is an indefensible piece of garbage legislation intended to entrench corrupt career politicians by eliminating any possibility of voter ID, laws against ballot harvesting or actually maintaining clear and up to date voter rolls. Strange legislation for a party who insists the last election was the most secure in history and will ban you from social media for saying otherwise.
As much as dim contrarians insist that you’re seeing things wrong without ever explaining what is right, you’re not. Read the bill. Dig into the policies your leadership operates under. Look outside your window. Understand what is at stake by looking at what they are actually doing with the levers of power.
At this point you almost have to wonder about the level of Chinese influence. When all of these policies are being simultaneously advanced across the western world, well, you have to wonder…
Why?
How many of these policies result in a strategically weakened western world?
It seems like an awful lot of them do. It seems like very little is being done that doesn’t chip away at our strategic position.
Just count your lucky stars Australians were civil enough to surrender their weapons years ago. You’ll never need to learn what could happen if a few dozen armed Australians decided to have an open carry mask-less meet up at the park or the beach.

I’m not counting my lucky stars over this. Weapons regulations over the past few decades in my state have become so oppressive you can be criminalized for owning a slingshot.
Chances are this degree of government over reach would still be possible if say 30% of the population was armed. But law enforcement and government officials wouldn’t be so brazen about applying punitive measures and harrassing citizens… Lest one snaps and starts shooting, that’d be awful.
Like the guy who was fined for taking his mask off literally one metre prior to entering a fast food restaurant.
To note, conceal carry hasn’t been legal here since the 1920’s, though it was normal back in the day for people to drive around with hunting rifles in their cars for… Hunting…

Ever thought of picking up code? I’ve been having a lot of fun with python and node JS in my off time. I still consider myself a noob after 2 years but communication with tech staff and even the guys doing stuff like digital design and clip editing gets easier and easier the more I pick up and clients are more impressed when I combine my normal communication skills with technical jargon.

This way I can lift at home… Properly. Though I’ve noted deadlifts on grass leads to the bar digging deeper and deeper into the ground.
The ROM is increased and thus it’s harder to deadlift the same weight.
It’s like deficit deadlifts.
