Stopping the clomid, other than that there is little you can do at this point.
So the only option left is to start T replacement with HCG. Is that right? My free T levels are in the normal range. How is that possible when total T is on the lower side and free T is with in the range?
Testosterone, Serum 252 ng/dL 264 - 916 ng/dL
Testost., % Free+Weakly Bound 56.3 % 9.0 - 46.0 %
Testost., F+W Bound 141.9 ng/dL 40.0 - 250.0 ng/dL
It wouldnât hurt to try a HCG and FSH. Also there have been great result in men on TRT, HCG and FSH injections.
Thatâs free and weakly bound, not just free. Your actual FT is likely very low given Clomid raises shbg
Here is the Estradiol result after taking Clomid for 8 weeks. 25mg of Clomid for 3 days per week. My libido completely gone after taking Clomid. I am still waiting for testosterone results. Should i ask my endo to prescribe Armidex to reduce Estradiol? Does elevated Estradiol effect libido and causes ED?
Estradiol, Serum 47.2 pg/mL 7.6 - 42.6 pg/mL H
It can in certain individuals, but you canât even get the effect of estrogen in the brain that would affect your libido is a positive way because of the synthetic estrogen is attached to your estrogen receptors.
So you can get your doctor to prescribe an AI, but you will still be left without a libido.
@swoops39 raises a good point about your Free T levels, not all of it being free.
hello everyone thanks for your time and answering my questions. Here is the complete lab results from last week test. I started taking fenofibrate (a.k.a TRICOR) to treat high triglycerides. Despite having proper diet my triglycerides are always high. My endo told this is due to genetics. I am still feeling shit after taking Clomid for 8 weeks. There is no sexual desire and libido is very weak. I hardly get erections andno morning wood. My endo does not agree that Clomid is making me worse. Libido went from low to non existent. Endo asked me to consult a Urologist to treat libido and ED issues. I asked him to prescribe some AI for high E2 or start Hcg montherapy. What do you guys all think. Is it the right approach? It looks like my Endo is not willing to change any treatment plan since my Total T and Free T looks normal with Clomid. I am really tried of running behind several endos and urologist but nobody have any clue as to why my libido is weak. Am i missing any other test here when i am taking Clomid.

There are some doctors that are just robots, they only care about in range levels and ignore symptoms with in range labs. You need to find a doctor that truly cares about treatment success meaning good numbers and more importantly symptom improvement.
I find it hard to believe that a doctor doesnât know about the typical clomid side effects. Dump the under-achiever and start looking for an over-achiever.
@systemlord It is hard to find a endo who pays attention to male hormonal issues and come up with a treatment plan. I live in Maryland. Does anybody in the forum recommends a good endo who is specialized in male harmonal issues DC-Maryland area. Why am i having low libido even through my Testost., F+W Bound is at the higher end. Should i get tested for Free T as well?
TRT is rarely done correctly in a sick care setting, mostly the TRT specialists are private running a cash only business.
Itâs already been explained to you. Search Google and youâll find numerous articles and first hand experiences detailing libido issues when using clomid.
You still havenât gotten just free testosterone checked. There are many clinics that do telemedicine these days that would have a better understanding than your endo. I live outside DC and my doc is in Florida.
My doctor prescribed Anastrozole to reduce estradiol. I started taking Anastrozole and Fibrates for high triglycerides. I started taking 1mg of Anastrozole for EOD. Is it too much to begin with? I read in forums that most of the people take 0.25mg initially. I slept for 9 hours last night but not feeling energetic. Occasionally I am having issues with getting sleep, but not sure if is due to low Free T. I will get Free T tested this week and see if it helps me to understand whatâs going on with my body.
You find another doctor because yours is clueless because this much AI has been shown to cause osteoporosis in several months to a year. You need to make other arrangements and get out of this circle of incompetent doctors and seek private treatment.
This doctor is irresponsible.
I am sorry, actually, it is 1 mg twice a week.
Thatâs still too much for someone with symptoms of high estrogen. If your symptoms were from high estrogen given yours is barely above ranges of someone on clomid, a .125 dose would be more appropriate.
You were on TRT I tell you to just lower your dose.
What your doctor has done amounts to getting a bazooka to kill a fly and in all honesty I donât think youâre going to feel better taking the AI.
I am not on TRT. Planning for kids this year but I am having poor libido for 3 years.so I am trying all other options before start TRT. My sperm count is good but my libido is low or nonexistent. I am not having sex during my wifeâs fertile window due to libido issues. It is a hit or miss during mid cycle. I donât know what other option I have left to make my wife pregnant other than starting TRT with HCG. I am scared to start TRT.
Once I start TRT, is it for life or can I discontinue after few months? My primary goal is to make a baby asap this year.
You can quit whenever you want, but I donât think youâll want to quit.
Day 3 on Anastrozole. yesterday got morning wood after so many months and erection was good, felt better but today feeling total crap. I have energy to do job and routine stuff but dick is lifeless and feel like there is no blood flowing. What does it indicate low SHBG and low Total T. My SHBG is always below 10 for the last 2 years.
You cant go on TRT and have a baby, unless you keep the balls working. This requires HCG or FSH, which your doc will most likely not have a grasp on.
The Anastrozole took things too far in one direction and you sailed right through a ideal range for you.
The low SHBG is typically associated with metabolic syndrome and/or thyroid problems. Since SHBG binds testosterones (Total T), whenever someone has low SHBG, the Total T is usually low along with it.
I would post your most recent thyroid labs including TSH, fT4 and fT3, the latter being the most important because itâs the hormone that enters the cells. I suspect your doctor has your thyroid poorly optimized if your TSH is any indication.
I would expect to see SHBG higher in someone on thyroid treatment.
