Confess Your Cringiest Workout Song

I agree. She also seems humble for how successful she is. I’ve heard her poke fun at herself a few times. She has stated that she is glad Whitney Houston got famous with her cover of “I will always love you”.

Would be better if more celebrities were like her.

I like Gojira quite a bit. IDK if that is strictly melodic death metal. I think Death (credited by most as the first death metal band) and Amon Amarth would be in that category? Like both of those bands. Haven’t explored that genre of metal as much as metalcore though. Amon Amarth has a special place in my heart because I like Norse Mythology stuff (not that I practice it).

Not too much embarassing, but:
Pride (in the name of love) - U2
Reelin in the years - Steely Dan
Make my dreams come - Daryl Hall and John Oates

Or any delta blues song by Robert Johnson, Elmore James, Sonny Boy Williamson and many more…

This is the best cringe song for any lift performed in front of a mirror. Don’t forget to use proper form on the tuck.

I like to let my hair down whilst listening. Just brings out my feminine side. The song was perfect for Wild Bill’s disturbing scene.

IIRC, Q Lazzarus died recently.

Miley Cyrus and Parton do a cover of it, which I genuinely enjoy.

My confession is I listened to a lot of 1989 (Deluxe Edition) while lifting when it came out, it included the voice memos of how she (Taylor Swift) made a few songs, I didn’t skip them.

Not really cringy, just not what people expect from me.

Very cringe.

:hot_pepper::hot_pepper::hot_pepper: on an indian restaurant menu cringe.

I lift best when I’m laughing & having fun.

Oh man, I talk about this in my log lol. I tend to just shuffle music, so what plays plays. Let’s see some recent PR tracks….

300x8 Squat PR while listening to “Fancy” by Reba

315x10 squat PR while listening to “backstreets back”

405x10 deadlift PR while listening to “wishing you were somehow hear again” from the phantom of the opera soundtrack

Did a couple 400m intervals while listening to, in order “proud Mary” “ain’t no mountain high enough” “a change is gonna come”

Knocked out some curl pump work listening to “my humps” by the black eyed peas

Press PR listening to Achey Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus

…. This list could really go on lol

I typically like early 90’s / late 80’s rock when lifting. I’ll let ITunes set a playlist off of Corrosion of Conformity, Tool, Monster Magnet or something similar.

But cringy to some I would imagine, Texas has its own local country music scene and I listen to it too. It doesn’t have a particularly motivating beat or lyrics but it’s easy to cruise through a routine because it’s the music I like in general vs intentionally setting a tone. Just having a good time getting stronger. Easy segway to checking the smoker too.

Not a song, but more often then I care to admit I’ll put a nature documentary on as background noise while lifting. It is almost always a documentary about crocodiles (no idea why, I just have a weird fascination with them).

“Call me maybe” Carly Rae Jepsen. A real banger.

The Florida Man in me is stealing this idea.

That’s really interesting. I tried to lift to audio books once and couldn’t make it work. If the set got intense, it’s like my ears (or my comprehension of what I was hearing) shut off. Good for NEPA though.

Same here. I just can’t do it.

I think you win the award for the most eclectic musical taste. Also, I give you ten bonus points for including a backstreet boy song.

Half the time I listen to talk radio. It used to be the podcast recording of Rush Limbaugh, Michael Berry or Mark Levin. Lately it’s been Crowder.
