So i am in my kines class today and my teacher explains that an increase in concentric contraction speed will decrease force producing capabilities. I do not know how this makes sense, CW is always explaining how fast concentric tempo is the way to go. Anyway want to suggest which is really beneficial and why?

u should have asked the lecturer to repeat it, or argued with him.
My physiology lecturer once said “catabolism means building and anabolism means breaking down” i said out loud its the other way around and argued with him and i eventually remembered to mention Anabolic steroids then he realised he was wrong.
I felt like a bit of a prick to do that to him in front of the entire class, but i didnt want anybody learning the wrong thing.
Always question what you hear,

Perhaps he meant that force decreases as speed increases.
Think about it this way, can you exert maximum force lifting a penny? No, but you can exert maximum speed.
