lol, i love the conviction they have that it wont come back and bite them in the arse when those same insurance companies come across studies against vegetarian diets. Encouraging this policy is bad for everyone. This is the point where they cease to be normal people and become fanatical.

From the comments below the article.
This is silly. If PETA didn?t have an agenda, why aren?t they asking for LOWER rates for vegetarians instead of higher rates for meat eaters?
Good point.[/quote]
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up right there. Well said.

About point 1, bullshit. I’m a vegetarian and I avoid Soy like the plague.
I do find that some folks get very high and mighty about being vegetarian, which is silly. Personally, if you’re going to be vegetarian, Indian food’s the way to go, and there’s no soy in vegetarian Indian food.

Very good for you, but unfortunately not all other vegatarians/vegans share your opinion and knowledge in the matter of soy.

not to slam on you, but your a bit skinny there, hows your health and how long tou been a vegetarian?
and no the hats pimp hang on to that ![]()
i love when vegetarians/vegans keep saying “you don’t need to eat meat, there are plenty of meat substitutes that taste good”
it’s almost like the human body likes the texture and taste of meat…almost like it needs the meat for some nutritional reason
nah i must be wrong, screw hundreds of thousands of years of genetics
as for anti-meat “research” in general someone mentioned that they are guilty of selectively concluding only the “facts” they want, i’m sure the high refined carb intake, lack of fiber, lack of vitamins/minerals/antioxidants in the meat eaters being studied has absolutely no effect on the perceived rate of disease (overflowing sarcasm for those who are dense)
look people…if i want to eat a large portion of beef/eggs/cheese/fish/whatever i will have an even BIGGER portion of veggies surrounding it
i apply the same philosophy when it comes to inflammation, animal products and animal protein sources may be strongly inflammatory but it’s all about the balance by overcompensating with anti-inflammatory foods in the same meal

My health’s fine. Had a checkup a few weeks ago, clean bill of health. I’ve been vegetarian my entire life. I think when the pic was taken I was 160. I’m at 174 now, but still need to work those toothpi… I mean legs.
But yeah, I didn’t eat enough. I don’t think I realised the sheer amount of food one has to eat to gain weight.
Thanks for the advice, keeping the hat!
Vegans torture rice.
I performed a nutritional intervention on a Vegetarian MMA fighter, he consumed a diet of Margerita Pizza’s, Rice with baked beans and choclate.
Managed to convicne him to go for a bloods/hormone panel. his hormone levels where in the dirt.
Hes still a vegetarian all be it one that now eats eggs…

And fish is justifiable homicide!
None of the vegetarians or vegans I know have ever harped on about animals or not eating meat or anything of that nature. They pretty much keep their opinions to themselves and don’t mind others who eat meat.
One of my co-workers is vegan, I’ve known and worked with him for the past six months and we’ve never even discussed it. You guys must be encountering hardcore activists or something, lol.
Don’t vegetarians have a lower testosterone?
i’d like to meet a vegan who has nut/seed allergies and digestion issues with starchy foods (celiac, IBS, gluten intolerance, etc.)
that would rule out the main calorie sources of vegans
in other words they would probably starve to death

Maybe that’s why you haven’t met them?
Not even looking at the health perspective of it , but philosophically I cannot morally justify eating another animal. I obviously still do it, but I’d be naive to say I feel good about myself after.

Yeah I always cry after a good steak, poor cow. Why do they have to make it taste so damn good? WHY God damn it why?
