What a Coincidence? My middle name is my Mom’s Dad’s name. [/quote]

We also both love Derek’s fat pics in our heart of hearts.

You like gay porn and I don’t. What are the odds?

Cool Thread… I just had one happen to me today as it happens.

Was listening to a podcast and the guys started talking about putting talc powder on their balls… As I was putting talc on mine (which I only do once in a blue moon and just happen to do it today, and it only takes 15 seconds to do). In terms of “what are the chances?!” that’s gotta be pretty damn low.

Coincidences are what I believe to be what most people call miracles. The law of large numbers can do some truly amazing things. As they say, In the city of New York a 1:8,000,000 occurrence happens to someone every day.

I had one time I was flipping channels and Jaws 4 was on and the sherrif came in and asked what was going on in the small town…the deputy said some kids were tipping cows the night before. The sherrif asks what the hell cow tipping is…so I turn the channel because I guess the shark won’t show up for a bit and turn to Jeepers Creepers and the high school kids are tipping cows…this is literally less than 30 seconds after they mentioned it in the Jawas movie.

How could I forget, my girlfriend (who’s Taiwanese) was born the same day as my mom (different years of course) and my mom’s from Scotland…so the two important women in my life were born on the same day and are both short and speak English with an accent.

Makes it easy not to forget the birthdays. Or really really bad when you do I guess…

My wife worked in a store with this lady she didn’t know. They got to talkin’ and it turns out that this lady and me were born the same day, in the same hospital. We probably cribbed (literally…) together.

Rob

I was having some drinks and talking shit with some mates on the weekend when one of the mentions that if it came to a one on one fight with a dog that he would come out on top, not unscathed, but alive.
Get to back to work to find out that my exec chef was mauled by a stray Rottweiler while he was putting his bin out for collection.

Neither of them are small guys but the maulee dwarfs the other guy. He weighs in at approx 110kg, played first grade league and has been in his share of street fights and the dog cut him up badly.
Lucky for him that he was only putting the bins out and not going for a walk with his missus and their 3 month old.

Many years ago I was out jogging when I came across the most beautiful women I have ever seen. She was jogging in a tight purple see through boob tube and hot pants that looked like they were sprayed on. Everything bounced to perfection. She was causing total mayhem down the track. As I appreciated all of this I ran head first into a large tree.

And by coincidence, she had just given me wood.

I met a best friend playing hockey/at school when we were in grade 2. Him and his family went through videos the other year (18 years later) and started watching his baptism video. Lo and behold there he was, next to me, both getting baptized at the same time.

I thought that was pretty cool.

All these weird coincidences (or fate) makes you wonder what we are missing. Think about it, you could have walked right by your future wife this morning. Even if you do end up with her, you may never know that you had a close encounter.

I did this, except that we realized that it happened.

I went to an Ozzfest in 1999 at Starlake Amphitheater with a friend, his wife and their young son (they couldn’t find a babysitter). It’s a big open outdoor venue, so once we got done walking around, we settled down in the grassy hillside area to watch Slayer, Zombie, and Sabbath.

Right behind us were two very pretty 20ish year old girls wearing American flag bikini tops and cut off jeans shorts. They were bouncing around and having a good time, and we all hung out and watched the concert together. The night ended and everybody went home.

Skip to 2004- A friend of mine fixes me up with a woman he works with based on his intuition that we would really click together. We meet up to go on a couple of dates and everything is going very well. I’m at her appt. one afternoon and noticed a picture of her and her sister at an outdoor concert wearing American flag bikinis sitting on her television. I picked it up and asked her if that was taken at Ozzfest 5 years prior. She confirmed that it was and was a little freaked out that I could guess something like that. I told her that I was there too, and after a little bit of discussion it appears that we were watching the concert together- 5 years prior to us actually meeting.

She remembered us all vividly, particularly because we had a 6 year old kid with us at the concert. I remarked that I remembered her and her sister so well because of the bikinis!

A few more years of dating/moving in together, then engagement and we became husband & wife.

Which brings us to the next one-

What are the chances that Nards would start this thread, you would make that comment and I have actually experienced it?

Its like a kismet trifecta.

I went to my gym on Monday, and it was bench day, and all around me, there were people benching.
