Codex Alimentarius - Coming Soon!

That would honestly be such a huge violation of our liberty and of free-market capitalism that I think people who aren’t even fellow meat heads would realize the infringement and there would be a huge outcry. Like, overthrow the government kind of outcry.

I agree that there would be outcry if they took our supplements.

But what if all they do is change the allowable levels of certain chemicals in our food? For example what if farming lobbyists got Codex to up the allowable hexachlorobenzene level in your protein powder (hexachl. is a pesticide that effects enzyme systems of insects such that it kills them… we have the same or similar enzyme systems) Would you even know? You wouldn’t even notice the difference most likely. At least it wouldn’t be immediately detectable. Perhaps though it would reduce your liver function or maybe it would mess with the enzyme systems in your body a bit, making you far less healthy.

Im with you on this point. They do seem like they want to help, but what are they gonna say ?

Codex meeting - Spokes man “today we are going to discuss how we are going to take over the world by controlling the food supply”
hmmmm dunno.

You just dont know who to believe anymore. With all the doccos out their on 9/11, the obama deception and all of these kind of things, you really dont know who to believe!!! The world is a fucked up place ruled by the people who control the money supply…

You’re talking about the “Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements,” right?

Am I wrong or does this sound bad to you?:
Ive just been looking at this and on the surface it does seem all in good spirits, but you dont have to dig very deep to see what i am talking about.

Taken from that pdf you posted:
“Vitamin and mineral food supplements should contain vitamins/provitamins and minerals
whose nutritional value for human beings has been proven by scientific data and whose status as
vitamins and minerals is recognised by FAO and WHO.”

proven by scientific data and whose status as vitamins and minerals is recognised by FAO and WHO - so if its not recognised by the FAO and WHO then you wont be able to have it, plain and simple. This is a good example of napoleonic law. Its not recognied by us so you cant have it. Not the laws that we have in most coutries that say that if it isnt specifically deemed illegal then it is legal. Big difference.

Also, who funds the FAO and the WHO? The same people who make the money for your gouvernment and mine lending us money with interest. But wait a minute. If we get the money from them and they lend us the money with interest, where is the money going to come from to pay back the interest???

See if you look a little you see these things. That was in Point 3. How many of these seemngly harmless points do you think there are in a 100+page document that the codex is.

Once again the Codex Alimetarius is set by a “private” company NOT a gouvernment body. Why would we let a private company tell us what we can or can eat or what dosage and or vitamines we can or cant take, because "they"do or dont recognise it. Its mental. They are a private company. Why dont we let Mc DOnalds decide about all our food and health laws.

Look what has happend to yu guys in the USA wit hthe Federal reserve. The federal reserve is about as federal as federal express. They are a private company and have royaly shafted you the american people. It is impossible for you to get out of debt. Impossible because your money comes from them with interest. So to pay back the interest you have to ask them for more money that comes with interest…

bulletproof tiger,
you havent heard about it because they dont want you to hear about it, they claim that they work in the background to protect us. Dont you think they should tell us that they are about to put a PRIVATE COMPANY in charge of the laws concerning food and supplements. But then again, when does the gouvernment tell us anything…

That video you posted at the start of the thread is appalling. It’s like a grab bag of every conspiracy theory known to man. Bush did 9/11, PNAC, North American Union and Amero, NWO, Bilderbergers, Nazis, etc… Jesus dude, do you really think that a video like that adds credibility to your cause?

regardless of what people believe, this is no conspiracy theory. The language in the document is intentionally ambiguous and they will determine what vitamins and minerals are allowable. Hell according to WHO, Fish oil is still not proven by “science.” We shouldn’t take more than 1,000I.U. of Vit. D per day–I’ve been taking 10,000 I.u. for several years and never get sick…the sick are just gonna get sicker…call it conspiracy theory or whatever, but the fact that big pharma and big food are in bed with the FDA is no theory…

Well it all has to do with codex alimetarius, that is why he went through the things he did.
But thanks for watching it an stating your opinion. Its more than other people have done.

Its our cause, not my cause this will affect all of us.

rehabman -

Do you get the vit d test regularly?

If anyone listens to the Superhuman radio program(full of muscle building info., supplement and all around good health information) there is a podcast on there about Codex. Superhuman radio has interviewed the likes of Eric Cressey and other strength coaches, so maybe hearing the information from this podcast/website will help negate the myth that this is “conspiracy theory.”

I think we’ll be okay guys.

I thought this was interesting…

As always, it’s a good idea to check with your local customs office if you’re outside the United States to make sure that everything in Surge Workout Fuel is legal for importation.
(I already knew about strict supplement guidelines in other countries, but is it because of Codex?? HOLY SHIT!!!)

Most probably!

Just found this, dont know how good the source is

Thanks for that! I feel so much more confident now that this is just a hoax.

This is not conspiracy, this is happening. Check out Johnny Bowdens article a while back titled ‘Dirty Nutrition’ and his take on government control over what we ‘choose’ to eat.

You guys in the states have it easy (well for now anyway!). Take a look at the Food Supplements Directive 2002/46/EC if you care to read it???

http://ec.europa.eu/food/food/labellingnutrition/supplements/index_en.htm

This has been looming over us Europeans since 2002 and will come into effect in Dec 2009. Basically it will set an upper limit on the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowances) of ALL vitamin and mineral supplements while banning others! Herbal formulas etc. could also be included! St. Johns Wort and Ginkgo have been banned in Ireland already. A lot of American supplements have been pulled from the shelves. Greens Plus is banned here for fucksake!

What this means is that you will be unable to ‘freely’ buy vitamin & mineral supplements and fortified foods (supplements etc.) beyond the RDA or an upper limit set by some self serving bureaucrats with big pharmaceutical companies in mind. The only way to obtain above RDA level supplements will be via a prescription, which of course costs money and in turn these prescription supplements will be manufactured by the big pharmaceutical companies.

The way of the future my friends…

How is this paranoid?

Is the Codex or the EU Food & Supplement Directive a figment of our imaginations?
AzCats wrote:

I love how you people make obviously “informed” comments.

How is this paranoid:

Annex II of Directive 2002/46/EC is a list of permitted vitamin or mineral preparations that may be added for specific nutritional purposes in food supplements. It has been amended by Commission Directive 2006/37/EC to include additional substances. The trade of products containing vitamins and minerals not listed in Annex II has been prohibited from the 1st of August 2005.

We are already under a state of napoleonic law here in Europe most(but not all) of what i have bee describing is already in place!

Its funny how were only allowed to take certain amounts of Vitamins and minerals but your allowed to smoke and drink yourself to death.

The labelling, presentation and advertising must not attribute
to food supplements the property of preventing, treating
or curing a human disease, or refer to such properties.

Because lack of a certain mineral or vitamin never leads to any kind of illness now does it!

Did you know that it is illegal for doctors to tell you that you can cure certain ailments and or conditions by the use of food supplements or proper diet!
