Wouldn’t a bus have an emergency brake too?
I wonder if the brakes were intentionally cut by someone.

That’s it! Drunk mechanic!
I hate the fact everyone relies on brakes to stop. Does anyone use what’s called throttle control and prediction? I hardly use my brakes in town only when I HAVE to say to a red light. But when I am far away from a red light or a light about to turn red I often just let of the gas and gear down - prediction. It also helps to have a standard.
My point is, from what I can tell from the videos the driver had a constant speed and plenty of time to see a car in front of him/her. This observation is based off the first video but can be way off. With throttle control and even gearing down I’m sure he/she could have slowed down a bit! Even after three times he/she didn’t even do this!!! Again from what I can tell from the evidence in the videos.
Edit: I’m a very technical person I like to be accurate in what I do. Driving for me is a passion. I love it. If I could I would rally/drift if I had the money…I’m jealous of Ken Block.

Yea good point. It looks like he might have been able to go around the car too, instead of crashing right into the back of it.

That to and still the pedestrian would have made it out okay.
But that happening at the same time someone is crossing the road is like 1/1,000,000 lol.
Is it really that hard to drive for people? I find it natural for me. This may be very stupid sounding to some people but racing games prior to getting my Lerner/Novice/Class 5 license(BC stupid laws) has made me a great driver with respects to picking lines. Also playing around in the snow with the car sharpened my skills lol. This may make me sound like a out of control fast driver but it’s not the case. I abide by the rules.

maybe, but you have to think that’s a lot of weight to throw around making quick adjustments like that… could have toppled the whole thing over
This!
I had a '72 yellow Pontiac Ventura that my friend and I would drive around into snow banks for fun. Really learned how to control a vehicle in snow and slippery situations.
Good times.

tbh it makes you sound like a terrible driver, and incredibly cocky… but I’m sure you’re fine(not sarcasm)

I tell my gf all the time that it will make you a better driver with regards to learning how to counter steer, getting control of the vehicle, throttle control, and brake discipline. But she’s to scared, she’s missing a lot of fun. I don’t have a winter activity such as snowboarding or skiing.

Sorry I wasn’t trying to sound cocky at all to tell you the truth. I dislike people who think they are better than everyone else and that wasn’t my intention here

Oh of course and I didn’t mean it in a bad way, I was just amused

Yea I didn’t think of that. I’ve never driven a bus too, so I guess it would be harder to make quick turns.
