I wonder if there ever is going to ever be any outrage at NBA owner Jay-Z wearing the “5 Percenter medallion” as a show of support.
I feel they are quite the racist organizationist.
Sterling is a known racist. That is one of the quirks in this story: Since this dude has been a racist for this long, why did it take this to finally make it big news in the NBA??
He was sued twice for housing discrimination from apartments that he owns, the second time by the U.S. justice department. He refused to rent to Blacks and Hispanics, stating in a deposition that “they smelled like vermin” were “unclean” and a bunch of other crap. He settled for $2.7million without admitting fault. He got sued by his former GM who accused him of racial discrimination and won. There had been rumors about him being a racist, but that’s all it was- rumors. Basically he was just a jerk.
I grew up in California and used to be a big NBA fan. Sterling was the worst owner in the NBA. Guy was cheap as shit. This is how he paid his players: He wrote them checks late on Fridays when the banks would close so they would not cash their checks until Monday so he could early interest off their money. He played in an arena that was literally falling apart. Workers got sent to the hospital from pieces of the roof that fell on them. They constantly had to stay in different hotels because Sterling would refuse to pay the bills at the hotels and they would be banned from them. He had his damn players fly coach! COACH! What owner does that?
Would openly bring prostitutes to the games with him. He has been doing this since 1985 or so. I remember one game they had a photo of him with two 20 something hotties and his wife was with their daughter about 3-4 seat down.

This is all true… Also the NBA tried to oust his ownership in the 80’s he dragged it out and they gave up. Rights or no rights as a public owner of a sports team thats 80% black in this day and age guys like Sterling are bad for business. Keep in mind guys the NBA is a business. He can do all the bitching and moaning about the recording but if the public boycott the Clips it hurts merch, ticket sales, most importantly ad dollars for NBA. Not to mention team issues like contracts future drafts ect…Pretty much they gotta trim the fat.
