Climate Change a Hoax?

It’s possible we are all going to be eating grass because of all this bullshit with global warming. Last I heard they were blaming cows as the culprit (I guess there are more cows than people now, and that makes a lot of methane, yep a natural gas that could be captured!!!..).

So what do they do, they consider taxing the beef industry, sort of like a sin tax. One best enjoy their steak while you can still get it, before you get stuck with veggie protein nibs.

Ancient forests don’t grow back. At least not for a few thousand years.

Neither do ancient cattle. Or ancient hogs. Or ancient mackerel. Or ancient humans.

So what are you trying to prove Push? That it’s ok to destroy old-growth ecosystems (or non-domesticated animals) for green paper or increased numbers in a bank account?

Keep in mind here, that I’m being a GIANT hypocrite since this was one of the 36 jobs I’ve dabbled in.

I’m saying if YOU were a Amazonian native who was sick and fuckin tired of an average life span of 35 years, poverty, and a standard of living that was rather uncomfortable compared to much of the world, YOU might just want to help “destroy old-growth ecosystems” for the good of you and your family.

Buuuuuuuuut, it’s much easier to sit here in North America and Europe and Australia in your wood-framed house, driving your rubber-tired automobile and condemn “the little brown man” in the jungle who wants to make his life better.
Oh no, don’t get me wrong man, I’m a HUGE hypocrite. I recognize that the townhouse I’m renting, the car and truck I drive, the job I hold, &c. are ALL destructive and insane (for Christsake, I work at a refinery!). Hence the hypocrisy.

And I don’t look to ‘the little brown man’ and condemn him, because he is just doing what is expected of him by his culture and civilization.

I’ve never been the type of person to pin the blame on a personal level though. For example, I’m not blaming you personally Push (or anyone else for that matter), you’re not the problem. In my eyes, civilization and this culture are the problem. So if you took this as a personal attack, I apologize; this was never my intent. It was more of an example of how this culture (as a whole) treats the things that give it life.

Maybe Al Gore could sequester all the CO2 he climate-damagingly breathes out by immersing himself in the center of the Earth. Where it is millions of degrees and the CO2 will therefore dissociate.

Please admit that you have absolutley no idea what you are talking about: admit you have no scientific background, you heard that info in a fox article, and the very idea of having to change your habits to save the environment makes you angry.

I don’t mean to be a dick man, but from my position I know that you don’t know jack about the science behind this. Here’s a quote that should dispel the majority of the discussion in this forum pretty quick. It’s from a peer reviewed article.

It is highly questionable whether this â??pauseâ?? (of global warming) is even real. It does show up to some extent (no cooling, but reduced 10-year warming trend) in the Hadley Center data, but it does not show in the GISS data, see Figure 1. There, the past ten 10-year trends (i.e. 1990-1999, 1991-2000 and so on) have all been between 0.17 and 0.34 ºC per decade, close to or above the expected anthropogenic trend, with the most recent one (1999-2008) equal to 0.19 ºC per decade â?? just as predicted by IPCC as response to anthropogenic forcing.

I’ll say it again. Science shows global warming is real. Warming could also potentially be a huge problem. What’s causing it and what we can do about are the only thing we can deal with.

For our own benefit the human population shouldn’t be supported on meat. We don’t need to raise as many cattle, hogs, or mackerel as we need to raise plants. As Polan describes in his book “In Defense of Food”, Ideal human health is achieved by “Eating food, not too much, mostly plants”. The ironic thing is, we cut down forests to grow plants to feed massive amounts of cattle.

If humans ate mostly plants, we would get sick less, have lower rates of colon cancer (a common western phenomenon), and potentially save our environment.

Get after it. Change the world. Start with yourself.

I will do my best.

The temperature spiked 11 years ago. We have been gradually cooling since then. I get it the sky isn’t falling and a bunch of people that have been screaming the end of days are coming are about to look retarded.

We just had one of the coldest summers on record.

I was promised massive hurricanes, where are they? Where is the massive rise in sea levels? Where is this apocalyptic bullshit that was supposed be happening or has happened.

Face it the only thing that has happened is Al Gore went from being worth 2 million to over 100 million.

Ok. Let’s mentally masterbate a bit here…

Say there was 100% agreement tomorrow, on all sides, that humans were and continue to be the guilty party.

You say that we need to A)figure out what is causing it and B)what can be done to deal with it.

Well, since we’ve established (in our hypothetical situation) that human activity is the cause, that leaves us with B: what to do about it.

If human activity is to be blamed…where does this leave civilization, society, culture, &c?

What would have to be cut in order to bring back balance?

*Industry?- oil, electric
*Manufacturing?
*Municipalities?- sewer, water, golf courses
*Cities?
*Dams?
*Agriculture?
*Medicine?
*Transportation?
*War?
*Mining?
*Drilling?
*Consumerism?
*Telecommunications?
*Space Travel?
*Commercial Ranching?
*Experimental science?

People, we need to cut people, soon T members will start ripping limbs off the alarmists for protein sources. Seriously, population control is a start, I’ll probably get flamed for it, but it’s true.

Because of computer models having the problems mentioned, if you read those posts?

C’mon baby, don’t fear the reaper. Be a leader. Like I said to Tanker earlier, start with yourself.

LOL, I would probably start with the cows first (I kinda like beef), then start a war to kill off some people. I would give more details, but I know some politicians will steal all my ideas.

30,000 scientist to sue Al Gore over this Hoax. Including the creator of the Weather Channel. If only he would have taken some science classes.

If you kinda like beef why start with the cows? After all, you know you can fly. Prove it to us.
I would kill the cows for needed food, not for herd control. The roids for the cows I would steal, sell and use. I would switch to free range raised beef which I would charge a lot more for. I would capture the methane by having them poop in a pit and then pipe the methane to the locals for fuel. The newly spared land would be used for windmills, photovolaics, and reforestation. Of course, I would submit a request for a multi billion dollar grant for this idea, and have some foreign country fund it through some kind of carbon cap loophole.

What are we going to do about the sun and the orbit of the earth?

I recommend both of Patrick J. Michaels’ books on the subject, for anyone interested.
