CIA Finally Got Gaddafi

No tongues fellas.

Gaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam captured in Southern Libya. In ‘good health’ according to the Libyan Justice Minister. That ends the Gaddafi story. Bashar al-Assad will be a harder nut to crack.

He was harder to find than his old man. He’s smarter.

Why not Ali Abdullah Saleh or Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa? I guess it’s because these two bloody murderer are US good friends. They are massacring their population with US blessing.

That is not true.

Those are terrorists, insurgents or some such!

Killing all those freedom fighters on the other hand, those in the other countries whose leaders we dont like, are of course monsters for doing so.

Having said that, the Libya campaign was actually very well done, though I doubt the Obama administration will get credit for this.

It should though.

Big gains, small investment. Not bad.

Ah, but the details.

Giving only air cover, getting a few special ops teams in who search for the heads of the regime and to point them out to the insurgents, a little training here, a little reconnaissance there, let the Libyans capture Qaddafi to provide their own little founding myth for their hopefully fledging republic…

Nothing neocons would get a boner about, but if Iraq had been handled that way half of the Middle East would probably spontaneously orgasm at the sight of an American jet.

True, but the military industrial complex did more money in Iraq. Which means both way can have their advocate.

Yes, al-Qaeda in the Arabian peninsular - the most active and dangerous al-Qaeda franchise in the world. And al Khalifa is the rightful heir to the Kingdom(formerly Emirate) of Bahrain.

Bahrain is also a vital ally against the Iranians(see history of Persian/Iranian control of the island.) US is expanding naval base there:
