As I first said on the previous page a few days back:
I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that Christie will not throw his hat into the Presidential ring for a few reasons:
1- He’s not quite three years into his term as Governor of NJ.
2- He and those around him understand that he leans center left on social issues and that’s not going to be popular in the primary season.
3- He has a very serious weight problem and that alone could prevent him from keeping the torrid pace that the candidates need to keep. Most people don’t realize that Presidential candidates are working 16 hour days while sleeping in hotel rooms and eating on the fly.
What Christie might be doing is making himself available for the bottom slot on the ticket. Christie just turned 49 in September that means that he will be 50 years old at election time. He could serve 4 or 8 years under a Romney, Perry, or whomever and only be 58. He would also have that time to reduce his weight and gain a ton of foreign policy experience which is currently his weak suit.
Looks like he’s out.
I’m glad. There’s so few Republicans I like, I’m hoping he stays here and runs again. He’s got my vote. And that’s saying a lot coming from me.

Chris Christie is possibly going to run for president. What do the more politicallly savvy posters think? I like the guy.
He’sust anothet big government shithead.
Good – It’s official – again. Hopefully everyone will let go of this pointless distraction and Christie can get back to working on New Jersey. He made the right decision. Half of New Jersey would have been REALLY pissed off if he had flown off on a campaign.
I like the NJ governor. And feel he made the right choice by not running for President at this time. But, from what I’ve seen, imagine despite not running he will be influential in the coming Presidential race due to his popularity. Thought Bill O’Reilly had a nice article about the NJ governor and his future.
Why Chris Christie Matters
I’ve always supported Chris CHristie…ever since he was a Choosen Freeholder in the County where I live. But, he has obviously been distracted lately. Almost keeping a low profile (statewide, not nationally) Hasn’t busted any groups of crooked public servants in a while and I’m a little disappointed about that! Hasn’t identified and obliterated a good chunk of wasteful spending. Those are the plays that make Jersians cheer.
Aside from governing, he’s also got a great opportunity to lose weight, get fit and show obese America how it’s done! A la Huckabee, only better.
