Dude, maybe it’s because I don’t get out much. But, what kind of fork is that!?

A firewood hauling machine if I ever saw one!
Check out this Chevy Suburban loaded all the way to the front seat and pulling a full homemade trailer. Note the straps over the rear windows to keep the firewood from falling out.
Snapped this pic at a local gas station a few weeks ago.
Hahaha! Nice! That looks like something I went through last winter. Up here in Chico almond wood is dirt fucking cheap, usually about $150 per cord, maybe a little more. $250 if it’s been seasoned for more than a year.
Anyways, my parents live down in Santa Cruz and it gets cold there pretty often and my dad is a major fucking pyromaniac who loves fires in every way possible. So I decided to bring him some wood for Christmas. I loaded the entirety of my F-150 to the brim, including stacked up on the passenger seat. I also had a U-Haul filled with it attached to the trailer.
Well, the wood must have been a little wet still because I literally felt like I was only on the two rear tires. Every little bump in the road felt like I was going to lose control, so I had to stop along the side of the road before I got on the freeway and just start chucking wood out of the U-Haul. Funny thing is, I drive past that onramp all the time and the wood is still just sitting there. Must be a 1/4 of a cord there.
That’s cheap? Are you talking full cord or face cord? Around here seasoned oak is $60-$70 for a face cord and 200 miles north it is $40.
When I was a kid my dad had a trailer load of wood without balancing it correctly. Hit a bump @ 50mph, lifting the rear wheels off the ground and jackknifing the car. fun ride.

You live in Kyushu?
Beautiful region. Only visited a short time unfortunately.
Not quite that far south. Right in the instep of Honshu. It is very beautiful where I live. None of that concrete jungle for me. One of the reasons I am able to stay here is the idyllic scene painted on the horizon I am witness to every time I step outside. Working on getting a house just outside the city nestled in the valley and just along the river here, and I’ll have to radically alter my outlook because I’ll have fulfilled one of my primary goals in life. (^_^)

That’s a bident. It’s similar to Poseidon’s trident. The Japanese are fishermen at heart, and take great joy in using them.
At least I think so. Could be a regular fork just blurred at a weird angle from a quick hand movement. Not sure.

What kind of wood? Out here it’s pretty much all eucalyptus and almond wood. Everything in Cal. is more expensive so I assume it applies to firewood as well.
The way to know if He Who Shall Not Be Named has returned is the first time someone new calls someone a pussy, then when that person who got called a pussy disagrees that he is indeed a pussy then the first poster says “I guess I hit a soft spot”
Trust me…that’s how it’ll begin again.
