what thread is it that I can get caught up on this whole houston guy getting banned and coming back. i remember when T-Nation banned a bunch of people because of affairs (or something like that) and getting rid of sama to have better search results about fitness and weight training. But what’s going on here?

He got banned for positioning himself in the middle of threads and drawing negative attention to himself b/c that was the only way he knew how to make his mark. And he had a habit of debating people on topics he knew nothing about just to get the last word, which after about three posts was like arguing with a cleverbot.

No, he really took it to the next level. I can’t say for sure why he was banned off his main account, and don’t know if it was because someone reported him, but I was there when he got banned when he posted as ‘TugYourBoat’ and he was just going out of his way to be a pest from the start.
I really don’t get the animosity this guy seems to arouse in people. I agree with xXSeraphimXx that he’s no worse than a lot of the posters on the board, and in my opinion much better than many. It strikes me that if you’re barely literate and spewing hate it’s fine, everyone just ignores it, but if you’re well written and antagonizing other well written people SOMEONE MUST GO.

You’ve only seen one side of him then. Believe me when I say that he fluctuates between being barely literate and articulate depending on the topic. That’s the problem. I’ve read some of the posts he made in response to you and he’s on his best behaviour there (it was that thread where he talked about getting involved with a dominant woman).
I can point you to several other threads where he’s acted like a petulant child, and adds nothing to the conversation other than drawing negative attention to himself with the underlying mentality of “if I can’t play, nobody will”. He never derails his own threads.
I just about remember him posting as TexasGuy then FormerlyTexasGuy. He rubbed people up the wrong way back then. Since Houstonguy’s “demise” he’s returned as bootscootboogie, tugyourboat, beantown (pretty certain that was him) and cargocapable- you don’t go through that many accounts for no reason.
My opinion of him is irrelevant, though. He gets himself banned.

You have to admit, the dude has matured a lot since then.
As per our forum policy, if users are banned, we will not have a dialog about our reasoning on the Forums. However, the situation with CargoCapable, and the new account he tried creating last night, has been resolved.
We generally do not allow members to post under multiple usernames and if an account is restricted, we don’t allow them to simply “start over” with a new account. If someone chooses to take the time and energy to repeatedly try circumventing our system and policies (a sad and ultimately pointless hobby, no doubt), well, that’s why they keep us Mods around.
Now, it would be best if this thread returned to the original topic. To help get things back on track, pictured above is my dog. His name is Lieutenant Trollface. (Okay, no it’s not my dog. But it should be. Let’s get back on topic anyway.)
