I’m looking for a color change for my Mustang and that’s exactly what I’ve been hearing. Most of the shops make all their money on insurance/collision work and don’t want to tie up their paint bays with a classic car so they bid high or they just tell me flat out they don’t want the work.
The restoration shops are high. Like, way high. One guy quoted me $30,000.[/quote]
I have a cousin that has been painting cars for decades if you want to make a trip to SE Michigan.
