Cap and Trade Farce

Phck Warren Buffet. PHCK HIM!!!

He supported Obama during the campaign when his very large voice could have made a real difference and now he’s going to come out and say what even I knew then? Is this guy just a lucky moron? He didn’t see this coming?

"There was widespread agreement that under this cap-and-trade system, the cost of energy would almost certainly increase. But Democrats argued that much of the impact on taxpayers would be offset by other provisions in the bill. Low-income consumers would qualify for credits and rebates to cushion the impact on their energy bills.

Two reports issued this week â?? one from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office and the other from the Environmental Protection Agency â?? seemed to support that argument.

The CBO analysis estimated that the bill would cost an average household $175 a year; the EPA put it at between $80 and $110 a year.

Republicans questioned the validity of the CBO study and noted that even that analysis showed actual energy production costs increasing $770 per household. Industry groups have cited other studies showing much higher costs to the economy and to individuals."

So not only do I get to pay for my increased energy bill, but I get to pay for other “low-income” households increases as well. What a deal.

Is anyone shocked that the EPA estimate is the low one? Why even publish that bullshit?

You can just say, plain old “FUCK” here, no problem.

There is one thing that will happen if this passes. What ever industry is left, will fucking leave. I would. Why get bent over by obama when I could go to any banana republic and put enough carbon in the air to darken the sky.

You know I prefer Pelosi have croaked instead of Michal Jackson, he is less kookie and stupid than her.

Check out this great article on politico, it shows how the bill is not even available.House passes climate change bill - POLITICO It is a travesty that this is happening. Well at least we wont have to worry about immigration because all the Mexicans are not gonna come here anymore. This is embarrassing to this country. Where are all the left wing nuts on here, why are not they here protecting their fearful leader? About this cap and trade tax.
Hope and change we can believe in. Im sorry im just pissed about all this idiots who are uneducated and plentiful who can discounted the vote of educated Americans. Who voted on hope, who voted based on race. Let it be known I am a minority.

John Bohener is on the House floor right now filibustering this bill, you can see it live on c-span.org

My brother thinks he’s great.

I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but for the most part he comes across as a paranoid blowhard. He goes off on these wild tangents, links everything together with very vague, weak, and sometimes “made up” facts, and often sounds like he is off his Zoloft or something.

Yeah lol, he does come off as crazy I will admit that, and he does say “and this is proven fact” rarely citing something. However you cannot argue with the fact that when he does make really Bold predictions (I.E 9/11 Obama’s real plan) he does stick with it and really tries to warn the country. Honestly though, the way America is set up right now I think it is great that he has that amount of passion and hopefully people can realize that he is telling the truth and he is working for the best interest of the people.

When he supported obama I was astounded as I had always respected the man up to that point.
Anyone of his wealth who makes a big public splash saying “I should pay more income tax” is, right there, identifiable as a hypocrite.

There is absolutely nothing in the world stopping him from writing a check to the US Treasury for as large an amount as he thinks appropriate that his bank balance can cover. No one is stopping him. He just chooses not to do it. So much for any supposedly honest belief of his that he should be paying more.

The real meaning of such statements is “I believe in big government and want everyone else to be made to pay more taxes… as for myself, I’m sure that workarounds can be found or I can even have them legislated beforehand.”

It just passed the house

Yep and I just puked.

Fuck global whiners, we can’t predict the temperature for 7 days, yet we somehow have the ability to predict for 50 years down the line, yeah right!
Beowolf wrote:
Can someone who DOES believe in human-caused, EPIC DOOM, global warming comment on cap-and-trade?

I’m saying this because it is quite obvious those who don’t believe in the above will obviously not support cap-and-trade. I’m interested if anyone who DOES believe the above dissents from the cap-and-trade support-orgy.

Before the Industrial Revolution, most children died before age 10, often of starvation. If industrial civilisation is evil, think of slouching in a mud hut, screeching at the demons who caused a flood to wash away all your crops. Science, medicine, and the very food we eat, are a result of a human mind thinking. These things are part and parcel of the Industrial Revolution. Capitalism is the only ‘ism’ that did most of us any good.

Now Nancy, Harry, Barack and Company, want to shut this down. They want to turn back the clock to when the rivers and air were pristene, and we had a life expectancy of about 35. By the way, old people couldn’t hunt anymore so got no food. Remnants show that many often gnawed through their own cheeks out of hunger.

I prefer pollution.

It’s not about global warming. Just like health care reform is not about health care. Stimulus is not about stimulus etc. They are simply vehicles to be used for hauling astronomical portions of the economy and hence control over us to DC.

Yeah I agree, it’s just you have to think all that crazy talk about Global Warming helped to pass the bill, as there are people out there that actually believe in Al Gore’s lie (as hard as it is to imagine).

That’s some serious ‘change’ America. Hope you’re happy with what you’ve done to us all.

It isn’t done yet. It still has to get through the Senate which should be quite a bit tougher.
