Canada Invades Denmark!

Any one who doubts the Canadian military’s capabilities should do a search on Canadian Snipers in Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan. They saved a bunch of American butts at great risk to themselves. Their courage and professionalism is/was greatly appreciated.

Yup. You never know when a U.S. National Guardsman in a F-16 is gonna get confused and bomb your ass.

Pookie, funny point, but I’m actually going to take a moment out to thank the poster for realizing and commenting on our participation in Afghanistan.

It was a nice gesture.

What is it with Americans and map reading? :)"

Keep going right. I don’t remember giving an exact mileage.

What is it with quebecois and linear thought?

Agreed. The Canadians have a long and honorable battle history.

Too bad they had a french moment when it was time to derail saddam and his cronies in Iraq.

Nice gesture? I’d call that simply “normal.” You’ve got it backwards; they should remember that we were there in the 1st Gulf War, in Kosovo and in many other operations. Instead, because we decided to stay out of Iraq, suddenly we’re “against them,” and every past collaboration counts for shit.

Fortunately, their goldfish memory will work for us. In 10-20 years, I’m sure they’ll “remember” that Canada was with them in Iraq; just like Ann Coulter thinks we were there in Vietnam.

No, you don’t remember much, do you. You were talking about the Danes invading Quebec. Presumably, they’d stop at the Quebec borders, right? So why would we keep going right?

You’re the ones who’ll blindly follow a chimp without thinking, remember?

I just wanted to let it out: You freakin’ IMPERIALISTS!!! Today, a 100 square inch piece of rock, tomorrow, the WORLD!!!

Let me tell you how this scenario REALLY played out. There was a push from Molson to have more of the glacier purified water. Therefore, Molson, called George W. Canada and his Vice President Dick Molson, and said, “Eh, if you invade that piece of uninhabited rock, I would give YOU MORE MONEY ON YOUR FIXED RETIRMENT PLAN. Do you know what I’m talking aboot?”

Then Canada BYPASSED THE UN, and went right for the invasion option. Wait a minute, they didn’t have a single partner in this “coalition.” The reason GIVEN for invasion was property rights. But, it was something far more sinister. We are talking “aboot” MOLSON WATER!!!

You watch, there will be unrest on the Arab street over this blatant aggression. kofi annon and his son will ultimately be found guilty of smuggling MOLSON WATER!!!

What’s next, Russia? I hear they have mad amounts of MOLSON WATER!!!

By the way, you guys remind me of those lampreys that ride around on the enormous Great White Sharks (aka the U.S.)

Don’t bite off more than you can chew with Denmark. We will ally with them, and I’ll finally have my own province.

JeffR

Calm down, or we’re sending you another Celine Dion.

We just went thru two seasons of our local “Quebec Idol (AKA Star Academie)”, so we’ve got plenty of ammo.

Don’t you know that by invading Denmark, you’re just going to create more Danish terrorists?

:>

As for Canadian participation in Afghanistan, thanks again.

I’m glad to see that everyone’s getting along, but…

…Land aboot the size of an ice rink, and some bleechers you say.

Well that’s worth fightin’ for eh. Good ol’ Canadaian fist fightin’.

“Canada invaded Denmark because somebody said: “Let’s go get some Danish!” and one thing led to another. But really, it was a CIA plot to stir up the fighting emotions of the Canadian people. Our government needs them to invade Iran!”

When I went through basic infantry training at Fort Dix, NJ my training platoon was probably 1/3 Quebecois(spelling?). They taught me (the hard way) about Savate (spelling?). Although we did not stay in touch after basic (I went through a different AIT), I’m sure they ended up in RVN just as I did. Perhaps this was not the same as the Canadian government sending troops, but my understanding is that many Canadians enlisted voluntarily to serve in Viet Nam. Again, rather you want it or not, my thanks.

I think it would be a cool venue for a Rush concert. The aurora borealis providing background during a stirring rendition hemispheres. That would be spiffy! Knock’en dead Canada.

Yes, many Canadians enrolled in the U.S. Army and did fight in Vietnam; that does not change the fact that officially, Canada chose not to participate in the war.

(All your spellings are perfectly fine too.)

Canada was in the first and second world wars years before America joined. And we get shit cause we won’t go to Iraq.

True. Canadian snipers are some of the best. I’ve worked with them on a few occasions and was very impressed every time. They also hold the current sniping record. RLTW

Canada has been a great ally for the US.

The only issue I have with the Iraq deal is not the fact that Canada is not sending troops to Iraq, but the harboring (and celebrating) of American deserters and the general anti-American crap that is reported in the media.

Canada is a great country.

Zap, we have to counter the anti-Canadian crap…
