Man, I would really appreciate if you can take a look at the new panel and share your opinion.
Obviously T3 is below range which means hypothyroidism, T4 is on itās way there now. Donāt settle for T4 only treatment which relies on good T4 to T3 conversion. TT is low, no SHBG testing will make it difficult to provide a successful protocol.
RBC count is dangerously low, red blood cells carries oxygen from the lungs to tissues and organs in the body, yours is below the bottom range. Low T is the cause, the fact that doctor doesnāt think so is cause for concern. Overall thyroid hormone production (T4 ) is low, things seem to only be getting worse. Surprised TSH isnāt higher.
So, I should not settle for thyroxine only but also triodothyronineāthatās what you mean, right?
Will test for SHBG and free T3 ASAP.
I believe the hypothyroidism is the underlying cause of the anemia and low T; why do you think it is the low T causing the other diseases (ie,the other way around)? Thanks for your help, again.
No hypothyroidism doesnāt cause low T, a lot of guys come here with both low T and thyroid issues. Testosterone increases red blood cells and thickens blood, so low T lowers RBC and thins blood causing anemia.
I originally have only low T and one of my symptoms was anemia, no thyroid problems.
Can low t cause hypothyroidism? I say this because lbefore my next injection
my temp goes down to 98.0 during day.
It is my opinion you need to get your ass off this subforum and LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR. For godās sake, youāre EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD. I dare say none of the men on here would want ill-informed, anonymous internet strangers doling out life-altering medical advice to their 18 y.o. child, so I have no idea why theyāre not extending the same courtesy to your parents. But be that as it may, I promise you: At your age, if you monkey around with your hormones, you could potentially screw yourself up FOR LIFE.
Iāve said my piece for the last time. Do not ask me for advice or input again.
Cool man. Thanks
I really, whole-heartedly apprecita your concern for my health; Rest assured, I ask for opinions because I am a curious guy and want to know what the hell is going on with my body-- tomorrow (now, for real) I will be going to the endo; If you count carefully, it has been more than a week since my first blood panel, and during all that time, I have just been very curious to know what I have. TomorrowāfinallyāI will get to know and hopefully get well soon.
Btw, donāt disencourage other people from commenting; nobody is forcing me to do anything. If anything, let there be no coercion, and if I ask for opinions and people feel like they got some anecdote or information they can share, let them share.

My endo sent me these new labs and here are the results⦠Do you guys mind taking a look, pleaase? It would be amazing.
The sick care model waits until you reach a disease status meaning they wait until youāre completely broken until attempting to fix you, your thyroid is already bad but not bad enough for the sick care model, your thyroid is only 75% bad and doctors prefer to wait until things are 100% bad.
Your fT4 is scraping along the bottom of the ranges, you need to find a doctor that takes thing seriously. You have the T levels of a 90 year old with the sore joints to match, you feel 90 donāt you? I had a lot of the same symptoms you do, except I have no thyroid issues.
Youāre also missing quite a few thyroid hormone tests, T4, fT3, rT3. You might have to pay for them yourself.
Indeed, I think I will have to pay for them⦠I will get them done today.
Went today to the lab and paid for the tests: TSH, T4, fT4, T3, fT3, rT3. They will be ready in 4 days, except rT3āthis one takes six days. Letās see what they show.
I know I dont have the rT3 results yet, but this seems likely. Where can I get more info about the above scenario?
Also, I have upped my eating and have consumed 2800-2900 calories the last week. None of my symptoms have improved. I am almost not excercising (about 30 minutes a day, ie. half the volume of calisthenics I used to do and very light 15 minutes of soccer skill training 4 times a week plus just the 15 minute soccer skills two additional days per week), and I am afraid this caloric intake is just going to result in unnecessary fat gain, not good especially with my probably-thyroid-related above-average LDL cholesterol.
@systemlord added new thyroid results; rT3 will be up on friday. Mind giving it a look? Thanks in advance man
