Where exactly is that? My buddy posted a couple of pics very similar to that location

Whereās the elk, though? Over the border, right?
A few years ago I took my dogs for a run during hunting season to the border right near where I took that pic yesterday. Rode horseback but didnāt carry rifle because I was just running dogs and didnāt think Iād see anything.
Sure enough a big 6 x 6 bull heard my horse, thought I was an elk and came thundering up to the fence on the British Columbia side, stuck his head over the fence and looked straight down the border at me. The dogs hadnāt seen him and they were just rolling around on the ground being dogs.
I sat there on the back of my horse looking at him and he stood there wobbling his big olā head around trying to figure out what all the commotion was on my end. We āvisitedā with each other for 5 - 10 minutes thataway. Eventually, after I literally talked to him for awhile he ambled back into the relative safety of Canuck Land (BCās elk season is earlier than MTās).
I COULD NOT BELIEVE I HAD MADE SUCH AN EGREGIOUS ERROR AS TO NOT BE PACKING MY RIFLE.
If I had shot him though I wouldāve shot him illegally and wouldāve had to cut the fence to drag him into the land of the free and home of the brave.
Itās a neat memory.
What kind of horse/horses you got?

The gelding I ride is half mustang (his momma was from the Pryor Mountains wild horse refuge on the MT/WY border) and quarter horse. My other two are out of the same mare and a Morgan sire.
Real american horses so lol, We donāt get many morgans this side of the pond. quarters are starting to get popular now though.
We got a couple of warm bloods and thoroughbreds but certainly not mustangs. Was it hard to get the mustangs as the dam?

I bought the mustang mare, who I have since sold, from a local. She gave me several colts including a mule and including the Morgan crosses.
Really though, the horses Iām speaking of from the Pryor Mtn refuge are not true mustangs, i.e., horses descended from those of the Spanish conquistadors. These wild horses are really just feral horses and their offspring. Because of this you end up with some strong strains of draft horse blood.
Above pic is the mare and her half Morgan filly who has now turned into a really nice horse.
Lovely colour on the mare. any of the foals the same? Iād imagine the foaling wouldāve been quiet easy with a mustangs?
Nothing wrong with a draft horse, their quiet popular over here.
Is it possible to get a mustang for breeding over there?

None of the foals got the grulla color. The molly mule did get her tiger stripes.
Never had to help with the foaling. She always threw 'em with no problems.
Iām not sure how easy it is to get a mustang for breeding.
Actually one thing, howād you train your horses to get used to gun shots?

I did this on purpose. Iām sure itās been done before.
Whoa, sorry thatās so small.
Letās try another. Hereās a Montreal smoked meat sandwich I had. 450g of meat.

Hereās what you find in hotel drawers in Japanā¦The Bible and Buddha fighting it outā¦or coexisting depending on how you look at it.

I think this is a very cool pic. Iron Dwarf helped me with this. This is the watch my dad wore all through Lebanon, the Bay of Pigs and Viet Nam. My brother also killed it as a 9yr old and Timex replaced the gizzards(can withstand a war but not a 9yr old boy). It has an adjustable band and luckily can fit my smaller wrist.
I just love the look of an old watch and so happy to have this one. Timex, takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
