Camera Phone Pics 2

And here is the whole car including the continuing bull theme in the back. The guy looked like a mountain man with a big bushy white beard, a huge western belt, cowboy boots and the requisite jeans that were belted under his tummy with a plaid shirt tucked in. But a nice smile when I told him I liked his car.

Haha, that exhaust is rediculous…rediculously awesome!

A friend suggested the local wetlands preserve was a great place to visit. Yeah, maybe, if you like dirt roads, wet lands, and bird watching. Not much else there.

Caught this view of the new local hospital on my way home from the gym. I liked the cloud formations.

Another angle 5 minutes later.

Okay, that thing looks like an asylum, not a regular hospital. WTF is it doing out in the middle of nowhere like that?

A big block of land there was dedicated to the medical park. You can’t tell but there’s also a helipad between me and the hospital. There’s actually a lot of new development around that parcel. You can’t see the mall 1 mile to the north, the gym/health center right behind the hospital, nor my subdivision right behind that.

I got a friend request with a Chinese name (and I mean Chinese characters at that) so I accepted as it may be a former student or coworker, well, this one seems to have picked me at random…started a chat…here it is.

LOL

so nothing earth shattering but the sky was just gorgeous at sunset. A crescent moon and pink clouds and blue skies. Pretty wonderful.

The Noble Driller

I set up the job and handed it off to another crew to run.

And that’s how they shipped my computers, and some other rather expensive and fragile equipment. Fortunately those are just computers used as remote stations around the rig, and not the ones I primarily work from. Still pretty shitty way to treat them.

Got to watch a vertical seismic profile (VSP) job after completing a well. Basically they lower a tool loaded with geophones and accelerometers down the well bore. Then they set off charges along the sea floor. Vibrations and sound caused by the charges are then measured by the down hole tool, thus giving a us a more accurate seismic map of the surrounding geology.

Wow, that sucks. Looks like how an old roommate of mine sent me some of my things when I didn’t renew the lease.

Practicing my James Bond skills I infiltrated my girlfriend’s mom’s kitchen and extracted highly confidential documents.
