I bought the complete unedited box set of Ren & Stimpy a few years ago. Some great stuff never seen on TV there… like the one where a huge dude on the toilet uses Ren as toilet paper.

Where did you get it ID? Amazon? I think I discovered what I want for my birthday this year.
It’s been a while and I can’t be sure… but it most likely was Amazon or DeepDiscountDVD.com.

Blocked at work, have to wait until I get home.
I need to complete check our DVD collection. I may have meant I bought “The Lost Episodes”. We do have the other collections, but I think the gross stuff is on The Lost Episodes.

^ Well honestly most TV sucks now a days anyway. Its all reality TV and BS.
Ren and Stimpy had imagination and was a good mix of kid and adult humor. I know you had to admire the art work. I loved the details on the face or an object that they got into.

I agree.
Ren & Stimpy’s success was in part because it was the first cartoon written by THE ARTISTS, and not some writers. Visual gags are a cartoonists dream, and to not have to deal with a writer’s vision must have been a blessing as well.

Plus, Billy West is a great voice over artist who writes a lot of gags as well (I don’t know if he wrote any dialog for R&S). He did a stint with Howard Stern. Quite funny stuff.
