BTW, your presence is requested again this weekend. You in?
Well of course. I still haven’t found my ultimate gun as of yet. How about you?
The Galil is closest I’ve found to my previous fav’s - it’s got min recoil too. I’m starting to tear shit up again!
depending on ure play style (run n gun, camp, etc) i’ve found that running warlord on the ak-74 with grip and extended mags worked really well for me when i was learning the game… i was close enough that the limited range of the ak-74 was not an issue and with the extended mags i made sure i was able to take out my opponent. I know run a extended mag on an ak-47

anyone on ps3? Pdp_nemesis

I wouldn’t risk it… why potentially have your 360 and account banned?

Dual Mag > Extended Mag

Um… to save a shit load of money? Most Xbox modders charge $50 and backups cost $5.

The risk is low unless you’re an idiot. When a new game is released you just need to check that it is safe to take it online before you do. If it is not then you may have to wait sometimes up to a month for a mod update.

Also your gamertag and HD are never banned.

Meh, I buy maybe 3-5 games a year and I normally cheap out and wait for them to come down in price anyway.

I know too many guys that told me “it’s safe” and then end up getting their 360’s banned when Microsoft updates their software and does a mass ban. If anything, have a 2nd console and play the bootlegs offline only.

I’ve been good since december 2008

It still works out to be cheaper even if you do get banned after a year.

4 new games = new Xbox.

I pay £20 a game on average, a new 250gb Slim costs ~£180 here - that’s 9x the average price.

I know they’re damn expensive from new, but 3 months down the line it’s half the price normally.

I’ve seen xbox 360s for as low as $180 (Black friday 2009).

Call of Duty Black Ops currently costs $50.

wow though £180 = $283.34 CDN.

Just bought (and read the whole thread). Played multiplayer, went like 2-14 twice, then played some single player and training mode, and last night (my 2nd time on multiplayer) managed close to a 1:1 K:D ratio with nothing better than LMG class. I’ll post my PS tag when I’m better.

Like others here I’m used to racking up 3-1 and 4-1 K-D ratios on Counter-Strike for PC. The lack of mouse takes some getting used to but I’m getting the hang of it. The main problem so far is finding the right sensitivity.

When I get over the ego hit of not going 30-5, maybe I’ll add some of you.

We don’t discriminate on playing ability.

Well, Wol does, but that’s just him.

I little trick for training with game…when first board starts up…look down scope and put erasable marker on cross hairs…then there is not a need to switched to scope…you can shoot on the run and it saves you a second or so

Yeah but I live with roommates, so I need to switch between playing and TV-watching pretty frequently.

Also, from ungodly hours of Counter-Strike, I’m pretty good at knowing where the middle of my screen is. It’s more just getting used to the mechanics of a controller.

As far as actual shooting strategy, my main problem is when I see someone, I have a tendency to fire 3-4 shot burst, strafe to the side, fire another burst, etc. (again, a habit from CS) and it’s just not as effective in CoD. But I just tell myself that I was nowhere NEAR a 1-1 K:D ratio after 4 hours of CS, and I ended up pretty decent at that. So I’ll get better.

It’s more about my own ego than whether anyone here cares about it haha.

That and I don’t really know anyone in this thread, so I don’t know if anyone would have any interest on joining with a random stranger if said stranger stinks up the joint.

Also – anyone know a cheap but good gaming headset? The headphones/computer microphone setup I used for PC games won’t cut it on the downstairs TV.

Sir, we’re all strangers. The only thing that unites us is the love of Iron and T-vixens. RSGZ and Pootie Tang will play with you. But if you suck at the game, I won’t play with you unless your funny.

Word. I’ll try to get to best buy this weekend for a headset, then brush up on my stand-up routine.

RSGZ: send me an invite next time we’re both online. I think i’m ready to play and not be embarrassed lol

I realized that I’m much better when working with someone or as a team(played with my bro and a buddy yesterday) We did pretty good… I just hate playing with randoms and getting ditched and hung out to dry. Or when I’ll be down (yeah i use last chance pro lol) and someone will be next to me but wont revive me. Drives me nuts

Cool - I’ll be on later tonight! (Early evening in the US). Pootie and Wol might be on too.

Doing some late work with a friend…
