BW Version of Chad's TTT

I am wondering whether it makes sense to do a BW-only version of Chad’s TTT.

To give you an idea:

  • three basic exercises: pushups, door rows w/towel slung around doorknob, freehand squats
  1. Max strength day: one limb versions of the above exercises, sets and reps see TTT

  2. Strength endurance day: all three moves done for high reps

  3. Speed strength day: clap pushups, jump squats, door rows for speed

You might even add 4) Hypertrophy day: reduce reps to 8-12 per set by antagonistic resistance (e. g. flex your lats/biceps while doing pushups), slowing down the tempo (e. g. to 6-10 secs for each rep), or using a weight vest if available

Core work would have to be done additionally, outside of this format.

Does this program make sense if you don’t have access to weights?

“I am wondering whether it makes sense to do a BW-only version of Chad’s TTT.”

It only makes sense if weights aren’t available. In other words, the breakdown you gave would work, but it wouldn’t work as well as using the exact exercises I recommended. But if weights aren’t an option, your program would be a good bodyweight program.

Thanks for your reply, Chad. This will become my travel/vacation/too stressed out to hit the gym workout then.
