Partner is heading out tomorrow for D.C. for over a week with her son. Going out to dinner with her tonight. Have tons of calories to play with.
Looking in the mirror im entering that bizarre phase. Fat around the love handles is getting really spongy . Still got the " beer gut" going on. What pisses me off is i can make out abs .Which just reminds me of the visceral fat im still carrying. Good note i am seeing some vascularity in my shoulders again . Id say ive got another 30lbs -40lbs of whale blubber i need to drop before ill be in what i consider training weight .
I ve concluded the 20 something and under age groups talk out their ass regarding body fat % on line. Read a comment online that 10% was just average. I swear 10% has become a emotional crutch for guys of average height who cant put on lean mass.
Young guy at 5’10 might say …" yeah , im only 150 lbs but im 10% BF💪"
Thats always been the kicker in regards being a drug free lifter for most. Either 1 . You have extremely low bf% .You look good " naked" and in pics but dont even look like you lift in cloth on the street in some cases. Or you get slightly fluffy but you look big in clothing. Relatively speaking.
Case in point you tuber Will Tennyson just become a pro in the WNBF at 6 foot @175
Sure on stage he looks big and lean. But its still 175lbs on a 6 foot frame. Take it as you will.
On the same note. Regarding the hypothetically guy i mentioned in my orginal post .Its not too far the mark to say. IF you told that same guy he could be 50 or 60 lbs heavier but the catch would be he would hand in the 15% range. He would be horrified.
I have concluded… until i sort out the external shoulder rotation issue through a butt load of mobility work. It might be in my best intrest to just use the yoke bar for awhile.
Until i can get the bar in the right location without my shoulders feeling like they are ripping apart and not punishing for a few days after
Got a wild hair… worked up. Going to be interesting once i get some mobility back in my shoulders .Since i normally squat over 75lbs plus with a conventional bar .
Unfortunately i have a feeling that its going to be awhile.
I look at others peoples logs on here. But i keep my mouth shut. Id like to give a suggestion or two on a few but id like to avoid the Butt hurt. Since indviduals might take it personally if you point out something they are doing that is not probably beneficial for their stated goals.
Using the Yoke bar Monday for squats and goodmornings, has my spinal erectors cooked from top to bottom this morning… nothing like DOMS to make you feel alive.
