Brokeback Mountain: The Director’s Bulk

TPWiaBTT: W3D3: Squat

Squat: 370x3, 325x8 (Close-Stance, Heels Elevated)
Leg Curls - Machine Broken (will consider this my “Deload week”) for this specific movement and go hard on them during the actual Deload.)
Leg Raises: 12/12/12

(Actual) Bike: A little less than an hour

Probably have another squat PR in the bag on a day where I’m feeling good, I could’ve most likely hit 6 or 7 on that top set. And I feel like I’m getting really fucking strong only the variation I’ve been using for my backoff sets.

Posted the wrong thing in the wrong spot but I MEANT to give you kudos on your squat.

@PowPowPunishment Thanks :] and I’ve honestly really enjoyed reading about your meet, you’re strong as fuck lol.

Yeah that’s not a typo lol. This is a stupidly light leg press machine so I decided to have some fun the last day before my Deload and do this. It looked about as dumb as you’d expect:

That’s the real challenge of leg pressing that much!

Back in Alabama. Didn’t go for PR’s today (except the leg curls but who cares,) just hit a few moderate singles and got out. There’s like three weeks left in the semester for me to lock up my grades and then it’s back to MD.

Hey, any PR no matter how insignificant it is I think is worth celebrating. You got stronger, and on a leg curl I’d say that’s pretty big since it works a prime mover for your squat and dead

@tlgains Yeah, my arms in particular seem to have blown up a bit lately. Those rows are working well.

@atlas13 At this point I only bother with actual shoes to squat and bench lol. Which will probably end with a broken toe but so it goes.

@bigpappafrance Definitely :] And I should have some good ones coming soon.

That backoff set was absolutely disgusting. Each of the last four reps felt like I did not have another, but they just kept coming. 315x10 was my last squat 10RM, but that was done in my normal (wide) stance so this is great to see.

Left shoulder bothering me a bit during presses, so I didn’t push that last set super hard. Good session other than that and shoulder feels fine a few minutes after finishing. Never have really liked DB flies but I figure more chest isolation work might help my bench. Starting very light with them, and the stretch actually felt pretty good on my shoulder. Gym closed too early to bike as much I have been but I can live with that

School update:

Lowest grade going into finals is a 99.7 overall (not counting a self-paced class without numerical grades, which I have one more assignment in). Provided I don’t fuck anything up spectacularly, this should be another 6xA+ semester with 150% of a full-time courseload.
