You make it sound like women are FLAUNTING the breasts.

They usually are mostly covered when feeding their babies.

I guess you’d feel violated in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, huh?[/quote]

The cover of time… yeah that counts as flaunting in my book.

And yes, yes I would. Which is why I’ll never go.

I’ve never been, nor do I desire going there either.

Yes, I have a problem as well with a woman exposing her breasts in public for the sole reason of titillating men.

Breastfeeding doesn’t contain that intent.

I would be a terrible person to go on that trip with. I generally feel sorry for women doing that sort of thing (not that I’m judging people, they can do what they want). But that is just my natural reaction to feel bad for them.

But breastfeeding in public is entirely unnecessary. There is a difference between not having a readily available private place to go and sitting down on a bench in a busy intersection and popping it out for all the world to see as a SOP. I simply do not by the “it’s natural so there is something wrong with me if I don’t think it should be a public act” thing.

If you have a hungry baby and no place to go and want to, as discretely as possible, feed your kid, that’s one thing. But I feel the same way about going to the bathroom. I’ve had to pee in public before, but I sure as hell didn’t do it sitting on a bench in the middle of the park.

That is not ‘women flaunting’. That is TIME being provocative and one woman agreeing to appear on the cover.

But the cover, and people’s uncomfortableness with it, where what was being discussed. But flaunting is very relative. What I’ve seen around I’d consider flaunting.

Well, at least we can agree about the intentional flaunting.
Probably why I’ve never been to a strip club, nor do I even have an ounce of desire to go.

For example, what some old guys do in the locker room makes me uncomfortable. And that’s without the sexual nature of the issue and even in a setting meant for dressing. There is nothing outright wrong with being naked in the locker room, but there is a point of necessity for it. And yes, 70 year old sweaty guy balls near my face make me uncomfortable.

I just find of the public nature of breastfeeding immodest and unnecessary.

I see every woman like that as someone daughter or sister or significant other. I have been in one once, for all of 2 minutes and was miserable. Maybe there is something wrong with me. Hah.

Nothing wrong at all! In fact, I hold Hungry4More in high regard as a man, and he’s never been in a strip club either.

Are you uncomfortable with women’s breasts? Do you have a hard time not staring at women’s cleavage when they’re in your vicinity?

Hell, my wife held some Le Leche meetings at our place. House full of damned titty feeders. I didn’t have a problem with it.

She was recently on an airplane with our kid on her lap. She asked the guy next to her if he minded (mind you, wifee doesn’t want you staring at her tit as much as you have a hard time not doing it). The guy said “if it keeps her from screaming, do it the whole flight!”.

Typically, nursing women to flop their tits out and let the kid nurse like on the cover. Every one I’ve seen is pretty discreet about it. Yes, I am around a lot of nursing women-- we own a business that caters to newborns through toddlers and this area is very “earthy, crunchy, au naturale”. It ain’t no big thang.

I definitely don’t stair. And again, words are being put in my mouth, I never stated it was a problem. I’ve never even stated anything should change. Women can do it if they want. A woman farting on the bus next to me would make me uncomfortable too. I would advocate, trying to keep it out of public unless actually necessary, and being as discrete about it as possible if it can’t be helped. But it doesn’t mean it causes me some sort of difficulty or that I think it should be banned or something.

LOL.

The female body is evil and all women should wear burkas.

Better?

ARE YOU UNCOMFORTABLE AROUND WOMEN IN BURKAS?

It’s not my fault if I think they’re sexy.

I love boobs. But, I have no problem whatsoever with women breastfeeding in public. At that point, I no longer see them in a sexual way.

Uncomfortable and sexually aroused aren’t the same thing. You could be comfortable with it and it be a turn on or uncomfortable with it and it be a turn off.

Sorry then, your post seemed to fit in nicely with the ongoing theme, of “if your not comfortable with it, you have sexual issues”.
