But it does raise the question when is it time to stop?
My son is 3 and he’s got a fine set of teeth in his head that incidently enable him to chew the steak I prepare for him or chomp through apples and carrots like they’re going out of fashion, which begs the question, why feed a child breastmilk when they are eating whole food just like an adult OR could rip a nipple off if the feeling presented itself jk? Why not have a teenage boy there instead? I am sure the nutritional impact of breastmilk would be the same no matter what the age. Feck it why not have me there instead hehe!
Anyway imo I think the kid is past the age of breastfeeding no matter what the WHO says!

Why does it matter what anyone thinks is ‘the right time to stop’ for anyone else?
My wife tit fed all of our kids and my 2 year old is still on the tit. She eats food/meat just fine, too. Breast fed kids tend to be bigger and generally healthier than formula fed kids as they get all the antibodies of the mother.
Our last one went to 2.5 years, I think.
Our attitude is basically “fuck you, public”. Fuck anyone who is ‘uncomfortable’ with a breastfeeding mother. My wife doesn’t preach about it, she just does it dicreetly as possible. It’s a comfort thing for the kid and it’s a way to ensure she gets the best nutrients she can in the most natural form possible.
People who are ‘uncomfortable’ around a breastfeeding mother need to take a look inward. I personally think 5 or 6 is a little old, but that’s for my kids. I’m not going to judge a family who feels it’s appropriate for them.
