Brain Fog, Lethargy, Water Retention, on TRT + HCG

Are you still taking hcg? If suggest getting off for 2 weeks. If it subsides, then it was the hcg.

Thank you. I have discontinued hcg and adex and zoloft. Very disappointed with Defy that they dont appear able or willing to help with the issues I am experiencing. I dont understand how experts, such as Defy, dont have a clue about how someone on their trt protocol can have my complaints.

Because of this, I almost want to say screw it and do a restart but the general sentiment I have heard is that I havent been on trt long enough to see the benefits, even though many people claim to see near immediate benefits. Time will only tell at what point I will see the magical benefits of trt, if I ever do.

According to Defy, zoloft is the source of most of my symptoms. So, if I have many of the same complaints in a few weeks when it is out of my system, then I am calling bullshit.

I stopped taking adex because my e2 was borderline low at the time of my followup labs and because some people complain about sides. I want to rule out everything that is not testosterone related.

I realize that a big debate has been raging over the use of AIs and whether they are necessary. I prefer not to take anything I dont have to.

It doesn’t restore mine, maybe because I have a varicocele

Yes, that what would be a mitigating factor.

Just noticed that this is an old thread, and the OP didnt return to update.

The reason why youre given HCG is for two reasons.

  1. The docs have all come to the conclusion that your testes produce other hormones other Testosterone, so they gotta keep them in the mix in order to keep them functional.
  2. If you decide that TRT is not for you, due to financial reasons, fears, or simply dont like it. Then getting you back to where you started isnt as difficult if your balls were shutdown. I personally like having full balls. Theyre a part of my sex life, and thats really it. Im only 4 weeks in and Im finding it hard to wake up in the mornings to work out, but mainly because sleep is so damn good, I want to get more Zzz. Feels like Im healing and rest is essential. So I need to change my gym schedule to see what works for me now. I also take 160mg a week. My body is changing and thats a good reason for staying the course.
