Since I live in Asia I can control how much useless pop culture I consume, by choosing what I click on the internet.

I was back in Canada in late October and I heard about Kardashian’s 72-day marriage ending about 20 times in 2 days, be it on the radio, or on some TV show that isn’t “Entertainment Tonight” even.

I’m so glad to get away from stuff like that. Even the elections…I can check up on cnn.com or turn on CNN that I get on TV here out of Hong Kong, but I don’t need to hear the same news items 30 times a day.

Oh, same for the Oscars too. I don’t hear about them for two months every day before they are on.
