Ok I will give it a go for awhile
Ok so I had an appointment with a new doctor who I plan on keeping as my PCP. We ordered up some bloodwork to check my levels. It has been 3 months since I started TRT and 5.5 weeks since switching from 100mg E3D to 50mg EOD and 150IU HCG EOD. I haven’t used an AI in 6 weeks.
TT = 1577. Range 123 - 813 ng/dl
FT = 35.5. Range 5.1 - 41.5 pg/ml
E2 = 99.4. Range 0 - 45 pg/ml
TSH = 2.21. Range .350 - 5.5 uIU/ml
FT4 = .9. Range .8 - 1.8 ng/dL
Your thyroid might need some help. I would get it checked again with a full panel.
Thyroid looks OK, but not perfect. You could probably go either way. If you’re having hypo symptoms I think it would be worth treating the thyroid for a while and see if there is an improvement.
I can’t really judge these labs without context, like how do you feel. Hypo symptoms with a TSH at 2.21, unlikely.
I was feeling pretty good for a while. I was back to getting morning wood and random erections throughout the day. Energy in the afternoon was greatly improved. But now the past couple weeks it seems I have gone back how it was before TRT. Could it be the high E2 now?
Sounds like it, I would cut 30% of your weekly dosage and inject more frequently.
Going by TSH value for diagnosing hypothyroidism is not a good way. I had 2.1 in TSH with pretty severe hypothyroidism.
You have really low FT4 values.
Any chance you have FT3 values?
It happens from time to time, but not often. I do remember a fellow who started TRT and had severe hypothyroid symptoms and his TSH was 2.7 and fT3 was below range.
It wasn’t on these labs. I just have it from 4 ago…just before I started TRT. I posted it earlier
I saw that now, I suspect you have subclinical hypothyroidism.
Your latest FT3 values was too low.
Your FT4 are very low which might mean that your FT3 is even lower this time.
Could you test your FT3 and your RT3?
I would also like to see your iron values and 4 point saliva cortisol.
I don’t have any of that info. I am waiting to hear from my PCP about my results. He did mention he doesn’t treat TRT but has a Endo he would recommend that is very good. A couple of other things that were out of range on my labs was my HDL and Total Protein. My LDL and VLDL couldn’t be calculated due to decreased triglycerides.
HDL = 64. RANGE 40-60 mg/dl
Protein = 6. Range 6.2-8.2 g/dl
