Blood Tests, Thinking of Self Medicating

You need to bear with me here systemlord, in my country it took 2 years to find a doctor who knows what TRT is and that its good. I have been researching clomid therapy and to me too it seems that this those is too high. What dose do you recommend 50mg eod? or 25mg eod/ed?
How long should I run it and how long after stopping I should get bloods.

PS. The trt and hormone stuff is outdated 20 years in my country

I would start out 25mg daily, if symptoms are encountered, 25mg EOD, but 3 months should be enough time, but know if you don’t correct what’s causing low testosterone or have a plan to address it, waste of time in my opinion. A lot of men expect clomid to do all the heavy lifting while you sit back a enjoy the ride waiting for magic to happen.

Clomid is more than likely not going to work, so don’t get your hopes up.

Agree with you here man. Doc checked my balls, prostate, pituary, all blood tests. I guess it comes down to my pituary gland not sending enough impulses to my balls due to prolactinoma( its not diagnosed the MRT scan found nothing, but if I stop using cabergoline my prolactin shoots trough the roof)

You’re also dealing with EDC’s in the environment which suppress hormone production, these EDC’s are in plastic bags that contain our food, we’re basically eating plastic.

Hang in there during the titration period, it can take a long time, especially once you start to get meaningful relief and you’re trying to nail it down exactly. It’s like automobile engine performance tuning - you can get reasonably close pretty quick, but if you don’t keep adjusting to where you need it you can leave a problem to grow.

We figured out why I was such a “cranky bitch” (my wife’s words) all the time when we were starting IVF and found that one of the reasons was my low sperm count because of extremely low testosterone - and that was 5 years ago.

I started at a total T of 89, E2mover 1p0, and mis ymfirst treatment was just an aroma tase inhibitor to bring the E2munder control, ultimately ending after dozens of adjustment and test cycles at 100mg self injections twice a week, plus 50mg topical on non-injection days, plus (ai think) 4mg progesterone every other night, all of which brought me to last weeks labs at total T of 521, FT of 15.9, and E2 of 33prior E2 of 9.8, hence the progesterone. It can take a long time, but my wife hasn’t complained about be being a whiny bitch in a long time, now I’m just an asshole

That also cleared up my erectile dis function, non-existent libido, chronic fatigue, and complete inability to orgasm - even when (barely) ejaculating, so hang in there - it will get better, and the guys here will give you great advice on what to adjust. So good that my doctor now regularly reads the forums to get insight into the broader patient community.

Hi Dr O’Conner!

Your doctor will gain insight into the guys having all the problems, you’ll find the guys over at Excelmale having the exact same problems you see over here.
