I couldn’t find the links on my usual site, but google turned up this - the first disc seems to be down but the other links are all working fine.
You do need a rapidshare account (which cost about $10 a month), otherwise you can download only one file per hour.
The upside is you get full speed links everytime and dont have to bother with people not seeding links - or viruses.
do u know what those run on? on my brothers laptop it’s not working but i think it might on realplayer on my computer
You need something like winrar (google it - it’s free) which is like winzip - then you just extract the video from the archives.
You need the all the archives of each group to be able to extract the files.
ok will that take a long time or take up a lot of space?

Winrar is a few mb, it takes about 2-5 min to extract 700mb from rar files.
Rapidshare allows people to upload files of up to 100mb, that’s why they are split into parts with winrar in order to be uploaded. You are simply putting them back together when you download them.

does anyone know how to work this? i just downloaded some 6.03 version and i’m trying to download a DVD. it gets to around 36% and then just stops and i cant even watch whats downloaded so far
Bit Torrent sucks balls. I used it for a year and it was a pain in the ass 80% of the time. Use http://www.utorrent.com/ it is waaaay better and user friendly.
utorrent rocks!!!
very small, easy on resources easy to use.
and www.thepiratebay.org is good too for torrents
utorrent is pretty idiot proof. I remember my first attempt at getting into torrents…I didn’t know jack shit about setting up connections or any of that other shit some make you do (I was lucky if I broke 50 kb/s).
utorrent handled all that shit for me, and now I’m going 10x as fast, at least (the Diablo 3 thread got me back into computer games, and I downloaded Warcraft 3 and the expansion in about 20 minutes).
Thepiratebay, textbooktorrents (love this place for light reading), and, of course, Google are all solid places to locate torrents.
shit how do i correct this? i tried to open it with realplayer and now it wont even give me another option, i click open and it just goes straight to realplayer and says it “cant support the file”

Doh! Long day. Never even thought that the files may be compressed!
HAHA Tell me about it - time to leave work.
Damn right mate. I’m outta here now. I was in at 6am too as we had routing problems on one of our WAN’s. Turns out “somebody” had managed smash a cisco router to pieces in an area with building work going on.
I had a spare but nobody had an up to date backup file of the programming on the old unit. Oh what fun guessing routes - the only real clues I got were people shouting at me all day that “It’s still not working!”. Ha - no shit Sherlock.
Just about finished now though. They’ll find something else to complain about tomorrow. Lol.
damn so basically each section u need to download all the parts? that’ll take another 6 hours lol. so once i have all of them then they sync together or something and i can watch them?
i just got winrar but it says it’s only for a few days and the other version cost money
