Her name is Marcia Gay Harden. She won a Best Actress Oscar some years back for playing painter Lee Krasner (wife of painter Jackson Pollock) in the biopic POLLOCK. She didn’t get the great roles until late in her career but has always been regarded as quite brilliant. She 's played a southern FBI agent, named Star, in several episodes of Law and Order SVU.
