I do not recommend Blender Ball shakers, I’ve had two plastic covers break on me.
I’m not sure what you are doing with yours, but none of my 4 have ever broken.
Maybe you should take care of your stuff?

Exactly, I carry mine around in my gym bag with chains, belts, and other shit that could potentially break it and haven’t had any problems with them yet (then again I don’t throw my bag accross the room or slam it on the floor). However it seems that they seal well with the first use of the day, and each subsequent use it seems harder to use them w/o any leaking. I think I may just need to buy enough to only use 1 blender bottle per shake per day.

my bottles are starting to smell. i was hoping to get something that wont take on odor. like a nalgeen or a stainless steel bottle[/quote]
To get rid of the smell, my grandmother told me to put a crap load of baking powder in it, add hot water and let sit over night… The next morning rinse it out and it wont smell…

Speaking of blender bottles, is there any way to just get that little ball out of the bottle separately instead of paying 9 bucks just for the ball? I’d like to get like 2 or 3 of those things and just throw them into a much larger shake, like a half-gallon jug or so’s worth.
I use the BlenderBottle and it works great. I don’t understand the post about it not being sturdy as mine is very well made and sturdy. I only have one and have been using it for over a year and it works great.
Also, as mentioned in another post, a glass mason jar is about as good as it gets. Wide mouth and plenty of room to shake everything up.

I’d go with aeyogi’s suggestion and just get some wire and make your own.
I had a blender bottle crack on me, but I still recommend them above all others. and if yours cracks, return it, or just buy another one and return the broken one telling them you bought a cracked on, and you don’t want a replacement.
I use a magic bullet, though sometimes i have to plug in my actual blender to make the larger quantity shakes. as for bringing it to the gym i just pour it in a gatorade bottle.
