I was a bookstore a few weeks and I picked up SAF’s book to pass some time. One of the opening passages dealt with SAF’s disappointment in his own decision of letting Stam go. He then came back to play them in the Champions League final a few years later.
Pogba was a very different story, but it’s still funny to think that Pogba is exactly what MU needs now.

You guys think they gave the Ballon d’or to Ronaldo to make him happy and appease his inner diva, or Messi was tired of preparing a speech for such events ahaha.
inner diva. I heard that Ribery got most votes in reality but that the result was rigged. Allegedly.

Pogba? never heard of him
United Youth player who left because Fergie wouldn’t give him game time with the seniors. Currently playing for Juventus and maybe the best young centre mid in the world.

Because CR7 sells more shirts. It’s also the only way he’ll get a (somewhat) meaningful trophy. IMO, making significant contributions to winning trophies should be more important than scoring goals that only win games against weak competition. It’s no coincidence that the guys who score the most goals play in La Liga.

The thing is, there is no doubt about who is individually the best, or one of the best players in the world.
but I completely agree that the award should be handed out to players that at least advance far into their competitions. I’m not impressed by Ronaldo scoring 5 goals against Levante, but I’m impressed by Lewa bombing in 4 on Madrid.
But honestly, Zlatan got the puskas so who the fuck cares about anything else! Once we pick up Pogba, we’ll be ready to deliver him his first CL trophy.
