Best Blues Guitarist

Or how about three flashy fuckers who aren’t traditional but good enough to just about kick anyones ass in a blues solo challenge.

Less mentioned, less well known would have been a better way to describe them perhaps.

No worries dude, didn’t see that you were in new zealand.

I don’t know about “best” but Gary Moore gets my vote for best “porno face during solo” lol.

Awesome tone.

Billy Gibbons, what more can you say.

This song Fool for your Stockings, between 2:46 and 2:52 has the most incredible string bending, prolly my favorite of any blues song, just something about those few bends, ahhhh.

Billy Gibbons’ tour guitars. Pretty interesting, especially the sounds he gets out of small gauge strings, etc.

Great stuff, half the shit that guy was explaining went right past me though.

You and me both dude.

That whole “Rig Rundown” series is pretty cool, the guitar techs get to talk about their world, something you rarely think about when you go to a big live show.

Check the one for Brad Paisley, they lost all their guitars but one in the Nashville flood last year, so it’s interesting to hear the tech talk about how they’ve had to replace them, etc.

Rig rundown, gotcha.

A friend of mine saw Clapton plays years ago and told me later the guitar tech was more interesting to watch than the show lol, he was serious.

I fucking love the way the solos in this song are phrased…goosebumps.

And the slide in Old man is just beautiful.

Have always loved this too.
Jimi caresses a sense of loss out of a 12 string.

Traditional American song. E Blues scale. Circle of fifths. Hey Joe.

Robert Randolph… This ain’t your daddy’s pedal steel picker.

Dude has mad skills…his band were smokin’ too.

Good post.

For some reason I loled hard at a guy in the audience who was waving an efigy of Roberts head on a stick. You see him at 0.15 in the second vid.
