Bernie Beats Bezos

I doubt the majority of the world agrees with you that the workers for Bezos ought to receive government subsidies. But then again, it’s about the amount of money someone makes and greed plays no part.

Yes. The richest man in the world does not need to be a welfare queen.

Says who?

If that is not enough then maybe more is needed.

We should stop subsidizing your internet connection so the world isn’t subjected to your stupidity on a daily basis.

You really don’t know anything, do you? You think Amazon increased their minimum because Bernie cried about it? Lolz. Do some reading (lol) on the current state of the low skilled labor market.

Starvation wages is just a term meant to describe very poor wages. But you knew that and to try and score a point you had to take it literally.

And again did the majority of Amazon workers get a net gain or loss with the raise?

Yes, as long as YOU can get something cheaper. That is all that matters.

Cool, bro. Words have definitions.

The majority of Amazon employees got nothing out of this because a) the majority of them don’t make sub-$15/hour and b) will probably see smaller increases as the company finds ways to pay for the total increase in compensation expense without losing profitability.

Well ya, fuck face, I have to actually earn the money I spend unlike you.

Nice dodge, though. I get it. Those are hard questions to answer with copy/paste talking points.

Gonna go ahead and quote this so in three weeks when you say you’ve answered these questions I can quickly re-post them.

@Zeppelin795, would you mind answering my questions?

Didn’t Amazon buy Wholefoods?

You think the majority of the country is in favor of repealing entitlements? Wot?

So are you suggesting we stop subsidizing Amazon employees and that’s it? Or are we also forcing Bezos to pay them more than his competitors (because he pays more than almost everyone)

Says me. I just said it. Jesus man

Yea, I read that and was flabbergasted - the majority of the world, from what I see, seems to loooooove them some ‘entitlements’ - he out-Zepped the Zep with that one

Dude that survives solely on welfare thinks the majority of the world wants to end welfare and he thinks that’s a good thing.

I hope he donates his brain to science, truly.

Anyone would be able to discern the difference but you. However, since it is typically the only way for you to feel as though you’ve scored a point, you need to disregard the obvious to iive in your fantasy world.

Any proof that this is the case? If it is, do those workers see a net increase or loss?

An insight into your absolute selfish philosophy. As long as you can get something cheaper, fuck everyone else.

As if being diagnosed with a disease that prevents you from working has anything to do with choice. If it happened to you we’d see how fast you change your tune. It’s not too late to be diagnosed with a dibilitating disease. Better hope karma doesn’t rear it’s ugly head.

How about one that doesn’t require the tax payer to subsidize them so they can live. It certainly, in some cases, wasn’t what was paid to them by Bezos.

How can an employer not be?

Yes.

What are the ramifications if nothing is done? Continued subsidizing.

Hopefully it will respond by increasing wages so the public doesn’t have to pay it for them. Here comes the truth of the so-called smaller government fools. They don’t actually want smaller government when it runs into profits.

As long as I’m notified of the replies in my email, then they are answered.

See, Cochise, this is where you and I disagree on the definition of “answered” … typing word salad that doesn’t even make an effort to address the actual question is not an answered made - clearly you feel differently. Clearly.

The majority of Amazon employees did not see a pay increase. Some saw a pay decrease.

Edit: obviously I’m not speaking to their stats individually, but to the whole industry that we service
